doubt the warm weather is going to be a cure-all for this offense.

the WCK story is horrific; some of them were bombed 3 times, moving first to a 2nd car and then to a 3rd, with the 3rd strike killing all who lived through first 2.
all wars kill civilians; how many weddings have we droned striked? i have lost count.
not sure this a new chapter in this mess, or just more death on top of more death

to me, it sounds like Madden is likely going to be another developmental success story for the Tigers; they reworked his delivery and pitches; looks like he will be a ML contributor either at the back of the rotation or in the bullpen.

on a personal level, I am mentally preparing myself for a Trump victory this November. for my own mental health, I need to do that. financially, he will probably be good (maybe very good) for me. "there's no way he can win" feels very familiar, much like 2016. i am naïve enough to think that people will ultimately reject him, but even if that happens, it will be by the slimmest of margins

try for two on Thursday?

will be a Flying Tiger; 6-8, 280; 25 next month; literally a man among boys

Lakeland set: Briceno, McGonigle and Clark will start there; pitching thin until HS arms move up from rookie ball.
One oddity: Tigers start seasons with 5 position players on IL; all are catchers.

wonder what Cahna thinks of Tiger's hitting approach - advice - tech

was the B team today for position players: Vilade, Madris, Benboom and Kennedy.
but Hurter and Wilmer did not have great AAA debut

They have 3 night games scheduled in New York? In early April? And it's going to rain all 3 days. Some real thinking went into that schedule making. Real geniuses.
Mets are going to be testy after Brewers and Hoskins swept them. Should at least get Monday's game in.

4th best prospect at Erie after Jobe-Madden-Melton? might be Lee or Lockheart or Wolf, or Workman if you believe in miracle turnarounds. Yikes, that's bad.
Best prospects at WMI? If not Anderson, its Smith and Graham who have shown little/been injured. Yikes, that's worse.
Santana's 3rd year at Lakeland? Not good
And no idea who these catchers are: Stephen Scott (Erie) and Jose Sibrian (WMI).
1984 is right - if you perform, no one is blocking you at the next level.

I think if little Bush said anything, he'd be dismissed as just another RINO. Nobody who loves Trump thinks George is anyone special, and the gesture wouldn't mean anything unless it would peel off people from Trump. The moral suasion is what's supposed to be the point of such a gesture.
the goal is not to talk to MAGA; there are a huge number of reachable republicans*; it is about getting just a million, or even half a million people over 8 states to not vote of Trump; that would be impactful
*my next door neighbors are hard core GOP people who hate Trump, but think they have to vote for him because Biden is close to goal destroying the country. Bush would give them permission to not vote for Trump (they would never vote Biden)

odd. if they has called Keith up for a day in September, adding him to 40 and 26 man rosters, he would be eligible to create PPI pick.
I am more annoyed that Meadows, who has an puncher's shot at ROY, would not create PPI pick because he was not on some media persons list.

TBH, it probably wouldn't make any difference, but you'd think he'd feel the obligation to make the gesture just a matter of his own sense of felt moral imperative. In the end I still can't decide if it's Dubya's inner demons that have made him into the strange outcome he is, or if he is just actually dumb as a post.
I am naive enough to think it would be effective. He can see what we all see. And you only need to move a small number of people off of Trump (not necessarily onto Biden) for it to be impactful. I don't think the chances are zero, but they are low he says anything.

first Biden lets terrorists take down the Key Bridge, and now the POW/MIA stand at the Lincoln Memorial is on fire.
If you can't see the connections, I can't help you.

FWIW, Eric Longenhagen at FG is pretty bullish on Madden, slotting him at #5 in the system. "Madden has a prototypical starter’s scouting package, with a classic, innings-eating frame and a deep repertoire. ... I consider him a high-probability no. 4/5 starter." Either he's right or he's wrong. Time will tell.
It may very well be they don't want to demote someone from the Toledo rotation (to either the BP or Erie) once/if everyone is healthy.
