He's a fine backup, given how durable Goff is since I read somewhere repeatedly that he never misses a game. No controversy, it's a 3rd round QB. He can take kneel downs as well as anyone.

Iowa was a powerhouse. Remember when the Lions drafted 2 players from a bad Florida team in the first 2 rounds? At least we didn't trade back into the 1st for a TE.

So if there are 9 players that are a cut above the rest and you have the 6th pick why move back to 12? If 10-40 are all basically interchangeable then it seems like the 12th pick has almost the same value as the 34th pick. Are 2 second tier players better than 1 top tier? Gibbs had never been in the top 10 discussion so it’s not like the Lions played chess here. Same with Campbell.
