  1. That block on Hutch was called a hold on the punt.
  2. And then that as a PI, get out of here.
  3. I wish they call a hold on the Ravens OL. But instead it’s just our punt team that is being watched.
  4. That’s still the single greatest touchdown celebration of all time.
  5. “For now, last night’s outcome reinforces one critical fact regarding the McDaniel era. Via ESPN, the Dolphins under McDaniel are 25-12 against teams that enter a game at .500 or worse. Against teams that enter a game with a winning record, Miami is 3-14.”
  6. This has the be the first firing of the year, right? Sure they played better than anyone expected, but they are 0-3 and a mess.
  7. That's just a name. Getting a "first down" isn't only the first time you get over 10 yards. It's not tracked on the team stats at all. They now separate it out as interception and fumble. There is nothing else. It's the same outcome as a missed field goal. That's not a turnover either. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turnover_(gridiron_football)#:~:text=National Football League game statistics, having "no turnovers"). Discussions about it.
  8. It’s not a turnover though.
  9. I was watching the game with my dad and rewound it to show him that.
  10. Teslaa is my favorite Lion in long time. Michigan guy. I hope he is for real.
  11. Odunze was the best 1st round pick the Bears made in 2024.
  12. Trade Hutch for a run stuffer!
  13. Turns out kicking out of bounds would have been the correct move. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/vikings-could-not-have-forced-re-kick-of-deliberate-kick-out-of-bounds
  14. Agreed that you can’t judge him on one game. They played ok in the first half. Caleb had some bad misses, but had some good throws too. The second half was the Vikings playing more to their talent. The better team won. They would penalize the kicking team for kicking out of bounds repeatedly. Repeatedly committing a penalty on purpose can have consequences. I’m not sure what this one would be, certainly not granting a TD like in the Eagles Commanders game last year, but it wouldn’t be detrimental to the team not taking committing the penalty. If you can’t kick it out of the end zone then I suppose the onside kick is equal. You will be giving up a significant amount of field position when you get the ball back. Also, you would need to fair catch the pooch punt or risk it dying in play losing more time, so you can’t hope for a touchback from rolling into the end zone. Not being able to kick out of the end zone is the issue here. Maybe their punter has a bigger leg but they’ve never worried about it before? Anyway, it’s not a fireable offense for not having someone who can kick the ball through the end zone, but it does take an option off the table in the rare scenario you really need it.
  15. I think the old offense was just a big set of ingredients that was cooked up by the old OC week-to-week. They could try running the same plays from the same formations I suppose, but that will get you crushed in the NFL. The key is have the right plays at the right time more often than not and to hide what you are doing. Thats not something you can just borrow. You have to know it. Maybe Morton doesn’t? Maybe it was just one game and adjustments will be made. Maybe, as said earlier, the coordinators will get fired mid-season. Either way this game was a disaster.
  16. Maybe you don’t remember the rash of dunking that tilted the goalposts and caused stoppages? Some rules are there because those celebrations caused real world issues.
  17. Yeah. It’s a fine line I think. Celebration should be allowed, but involving the opposing player will lead to escalation. Sort of like the Josh Norman/Odell game years ago that kept escalating.
  18. Skenes seems like he’s going to have a couple of 00 Pedro seasons, which seemed hard to envision anyone coming close to anytime soon.
  19. Guess it’s official. Parsons is a little bitch. Wonder if he hates play action passes and stunts? Soft as OSU.
  20. The worst part of the rush push is that even if you stop them like the Cowboys did on the first attempt tonight, it’s such a messy play that it only takes one ref to give them the first down anyway. And Collingsworth will slobber all over the play.
  21. You are right. I have completely blocked out a year of football due to disappointment apparently. 2 out of 3 years. I think my point remains the same.
