SSS theater...but Greene and Canha can't have a bad 15 days. Baez, Keith, Tork, and catchers have been so feeble that you need your best hitters to be great all year..but it's unrealistic. The real solution is to have more depth.

Ok perhaps there a lot more bad offenses this year? They are 21st in runs for whatever that's worth.

The bullpen is decent(not great). The offense is abymsal again..although it's improved incrementally over last year.

In the moment, it feels terrible that we are throwing away the run prevention in the name of sustainability, long term, flexibility, low risk contracts. It's mind numbingly boring and a bad product. Hopefully a few hitters can do something.

Wenceel's contribution to the 8th inning shouldn't get understated. Maybe he becomes something and Meadows never does?...that's the way it goes.

Foley's velo and location was back in form.

This past offseason was a bad free agent class. Guessing the Baez deal made them de-risk everything. Sign guys on the fringes and wait out/develop the hitting over the long term. Pitching and 'defense' to prevent runs..hope and a prayer for offense until things are settled with various young players.

This season is the four corners offense...waiting out young players, waiting out bad contracts...just waiting for something to happen.

Would like to see a healthy 150+ inning season...he's is going to get a lot of chances on the big club.

Manning is a mid to second level starter. If he was durable, he'd be a pretty decent asset.

Right if continues to make that kind of contact in all ballparks, things will turn. In the first 35 games, he was hitting everything on the ground or popping it up.

the pitching is much better than last year...the offense is incrementally better.

Tigers were 19-21 after 40 games last year; 20-20 this year....the 4 game losing streak did not get extended longer...but they have a long way to go.
