They are 10-9 to start...I'm not even worried about the 'competition' in the division. They won't go anywhere until the young hitters figure it out. There are no sweeping changes to make.

It's a flawed team with limited offense(by design). They need to win on the margins with pitching and defense until some of the offense shows itself. The margins stuff was bad today.

Tigers are 4-5 in their last 9 games with the majority being close and late outcomes....it's fine.

Maeda was terrible no doubt. Aside from game 2 Saturday, every other game in the past 10 days has been a coinflip late.

Bullpen is going to get overtaxed if you need them to pitch high leverage innings every day.

The formula was broken..a bad defensive play and the starter loses himself for half an inning.

Depends who you ask...if you view this is a developmental season, he should more time to prove if he can fix it in the majors. I think it's a grey area...this is entirely up to the judgement of Harris and Hinch to see if they are wasting time with him flailing away in the majors.

I think they do it usually through the first two homestands. They have a day game next Friday vs KC, but that's because they want people cleared out before the draft.

This is probably best case scenario for the team winning. The pitcher gives you a good shot, offense is opportunistic sometimes....lots of coinflips depending on execution and the bullpen being sharp.

Most of the guys in this lineup have difficulty elevating the ball.

Is there a happy medium between expecting elite hitting and our young hitters not being able to get a .600 OPS? Why are Tork, Meadows, and Keith this bad?(small sample size disclaimer). They'd be so much better off if these guys were just below average lol.
