Is there a happy medium between expecting elite hitting and our young hitters not being able to get a .600 OPS? Why are Tork, Meadows, and Keith this bad?(small sample size disclaimer). They'd be so much better off if these guys were just below average lol.

There's no shake up coming. They view this is a season to pass time and see if the young hitters are worth anything; Additionally, they want to see if anyone emerges from Toledo to grab a spot. That's why they didnt' sign anyone right? The young talent is here and needs to get at-bats.

They need Tork and Meadows not to be historically terrible, and the catchers to revert to their numbers. That should improve things incrementally....Baez is what he is..El Adam Everett.

This is a season of evaluation..they have to figure out what value the young hitters are going to provide. Winning today's game is secondary to that discovery.

I think meadows has struck out in every at bat since Friday…time is running out.

A lot of hitting is just guessing at the swing decision point. Canha executed poorly and gidp’d at the wrong time….crap happens. His track record indicates that he will get it right most of the time.

Offense went down in order in 7 of the 9 innings. That gets you one run on four hits.
