Cooper's brother is pretty good too. He's down here at Montverde now as well.....
-
Whats wrong with asking them for two firsts or a first and another player? I'm assuming we have some sort of dead weight we can also kick back to back to even balance it further if need be to get two first rounders out of the deal...
-
Looks like it's going to be a deep one. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5519093/2024/07/01/nhl-draft-2025-prospects-ranking-hagens-first-round-predictions/ https://www.flohockey.tv/articles/12690457-nhl-draft-2025-way-too-early-top-10-prospect-list-led-by-james-hagens

The race for Cooper Flagg is on.... (Or is it?) Seems much deeper. Two super high end prospects and multiple good players. Cooper isn't a lock as of now to go 1-1. Interesting. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/early-2025-nba-mock-draft-cooper-flagg-carries-zion-like-hype-but-he-faces-big-battle-to-go-no-1-overall/ https://nbadraftroom.com/2025-nba-mock-draft/

Red Wings 2024 Off-Season Thread
AlaskanTigersFan replied to Mr.TaterSalad's topic in Detroit Red Wings
If this is the case, I really hope we don't give up a lot.... -
What are we waiting for? Sheeesh. I wouldn't be a prude, but if they are willing to give up a 1st, Ask for two 1sts and send them back a couple of seconds to balance it out. But this is what we're looking to do no?
-
I see the Red Wings are getting a lot of B grades. They didn't get anyone with massively elite skills but they got multiple "solid" players. Seems more like a depth draft I guess. (One article said the Goalie could turn out to be pretty good. So now I guess we have three Goalie Prospects and maybe Augustine becomes available in a trade? Or too early....)

Just curious... Scale of 1 to 10, how good is Trouba? (In your opinion.) If he's a 7 or above, he's a needle mover in the right direction no? -
Just curious and please excuse my ignorance...... With everyone saying the Pistons have great players minus they can't shoot... How often do bad shooters become good to great shooters if they aren't already by the time they get drafted? Seems to me the muscle memory from 10+ years would make it near impossible to improve drastically no?

My plan - Pay all the best free agents as much money as possible for 1 year contracts. 1 month into season, no matter what our record is, trade them all for picks next year. Tank to get a high draft pick next year, then buy whatever free agents are in the market next year to suppliment 3-4 1st rounders next year and whoever else we kept. Rebuild over...... What's wrong w/ this plan?

From my understanding, Cade is a 1 way player. No defense what so ever and he turns over the ball a lot. Listen, I used to work at Montverde, so of course I love Cade just because of that. But if we need to tear down again, I'd rather do it now than do what Al Avila did to the Tigers and put us in purgatory for another 10 years......
-
More I think about this, the more I think Cade needs to be on the shopping block tonight like a girl on Woodward.....
-
I fly up to Michigan every year for a fantasy baseball draft on Valentines day weekend. Bruh, if NBA is to you like that is to me and your spouse knows that, you got MASSIVE kudos..... Like you said bank some points, that might be worth cashing in for like season tickets or something lol.
-
That literally looks like an entire team....
-
Is this actually something in hockey? Or is it basically a filler for like $5,000 down the line? Like could we get a 2nd in three years lets say? (Sorry, I don't know a lot about hockey.)

Need a new Goalie (work with me here)

K. Then there's that..... Stevie your Goalie market is shrinking. Although I guess this is probably good. Now we don't give up the resources it would have cost to get this guy..... -

I guess Yzerman is looking at the Boston Goalie at 5mil for the last year on his contract.... Sheeeeeesh. -
All I'm saying is, who would you rather have if Goff did get hurt..... Sudfeld a career backup or a potential starter in Hooker? I'll go with the potential starter......
-
I think people forget, he was a top 5 draft pick before he got hurt............ I dunno how anyone non delusional can think about getting rid of this guy........

Flaherty will get 20 mil/year or like 22 million per year.... so 4 at 88 or something like that. TOPS would be 4 /100 mil. -

K the reply isn't working properly. But sticking with the O's for comparison sake.... If they offered Holiday and lets say Cowswer for Greene, you'd say no to that? -

2024 Trade Deadline Rumors and Discussion
AlaskanTigersFan replied to LongLiveMaroth's topic in Detroit Tigers
This is basically dead on. Everyone on our roster should be on the table right now. Including Greene and Skubal. The Tigers are in no mans land and even with the farm system they have, they lack "ELITE" prospects barring Clark and Jobe. If the Tigers can trade Greene and/or Skubal and the return for either is two top 25 prospects plus two other top 100 prospects (or at least another top 100 prospect and someone semi decent), they need to seriously consider that. No one on this roster should be untouchable. Skubal is an Ace in this league. Those don't grow on trees which I can understand keeping him. But barring him, no one is a superstar. Greene is a first division regular but he's not on the superstar level. We need to get out of no mans land and it involves getting higher end prospects. If the O's offered me Basallo, Mayo, Cowser and either Povich or Norby for SKubal, I'd do that in a heartbeat. Or if they did Holliday, Mayo,Cowser and Povich for Skubal and McGonical. THOSE are the types of deals they need to make. Heck Corbin Burnes got two premium prospects and a 1st round pick for him.... Skubal's price should be ASTRONOMICAL. NOW is when they should cash it. Those are the types of deals that set up franchises for success. Gets us out of the no mans land we are in. -

With all this talk about who pairs where and what not, help an illiterate hockey fan out. Who on our team is absolute slam dunk keepers. From my take its: Dylan Larken Seider Raymond Edvinson And from my understanding only Seider and Raymond are TRUE Superstars. I guess Larkin's star isn't nearly as shiny as he once was thought but still a good player. Is Edvinsson in the same caliber as Seider? Beyond those four, is there really any one else that is "untouchable" as far as the roster goes?
