  1. How good of a recruiter is Rhule? Would he be an upgrade over Harbaugh?
  2. If you mean Jaylen Sneed, he's a LB. But still, it does list Elston as one of his main recruiters. He also goes to school 5 miles from where I'm at as I'm also on Hilton Head Island. I should go see this kid..... https://247sports.com/college/notre-dame/Season/2022-Football/Commits/
  3. Whoever they get, I'd rather have a better recruiter. They need to get more 5 stars on Defense to keep up with the more elite programs......
  4. I know Luke Fickell isn't coming. I guess Matt Campbell might be the best recruiter of the bunch so that's probably who I'd go with based solely on that. Thoughts?
  5. Assuming Tork and Greene are who we hope for, if you take out Baez, who out of the other 6 batters are 1st divison regulars? *cough* no one. We will have one of the worst lineups in MLB next year......
  6. Meh, sorry. I'm definitely disagreeing with this.... I'd rather have Correa over Baez any day of the week.... (assuming the contract length could be the same). The Tigers have always gone after All or nothing hitters.... I'm too lazy to look it up but I bet over the last 30 years, the Tigers are one of the top 3 teams in strikeouts if not the top team. Baez fits the tigers mold PERFECTLY. Dude will lead the league in K's, hitting .280 with a .310 OBP.... Perfect Tiger..... Yes he might hit 30 Homeruns. But I'd rather have a good defensive shortstop hitting ..280/.360 with 25 HR's instead..... Baez Career Line: .264/.307/.477/.783 (OPS) - 953 Strikeouts Correa Career Line: .277/.356/.481/.837 (OPS) - 660 Strikeouts Give me Correa please.
  7. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/12/padres-notes-payroll-campusano-prospects.html - WHY have the Tigers not said yes to anything they ask. Hosmer and Campusano.... yessir. What is Al waiting for....?
  8. Computer version. I'm flying up to Michigan from SC in February for my draft. hah we really are nerds.
  9. Thank you. I am part of a fantasy baseball league that dates back to the early 1980's. Its a STRATO-Matic league if anyone knows what that is. Trying to figure out a trade and needed input on which one to go after because I needed games at first base and OF. (Although I honestly wouldn't mind if the Tigers got either one of these guys too).

  11. Need some help. Since there's no MLB forum, which would you prefer? Just completely curious what ya'll think. Forget what you'd have to give up. Just going forward, which would you rather have between the 2?
  12. I like Schoop. Don't get me wrong. But he's not a top 15 second basemen in the league..... And he's our 2nd best hitter on our team now. And we are ready for the playoffs? Oof. I want to be optimistic. But let this marinate for a second and honestly tell me you disagree....... Our pitching is lightyears ahead of our hitters any day. Our only prayer is Torkelson and Greene come up and don't act like Jared Kelenic which very well could happen. Then we'll have 3 decent hitters (Tork, Greene, Baez) and 2 Meh hitters in our lineup (giving Grossman some love just cause of his OBP). Tough to be in the playoffs with 5 hitters and 4 black holes.....
  13. Our lineup literally might have one first division Regular in it. We are going to suck boys. Unless Torkelson and Greene come up on fire and both bat .300/.350+/.500+ we might, MIGHT get 3rd in our division. We basically have three bats (maybe four if you are a Candy believer) that could potentially be starting on a real play off team. I don't want to be debbie downer, but our lineup flat out blows. We played out of our minds last year. Our pitching I think is WAY ahead of our hitters. You can't win a division, let alone playoff games with three good hitters (assuming we get the 2nd half Baez and Tork and Greene come up with no growing pains). Those three are literally our only decent hitters and two of them haven't even played in the majors yet..... We might have the worst lineup in the American League if not all of MLB......
  14. That was the Walker show.... He literally beat UofM by himself. W/o him, MSU is a 3 win team if that......
  15. I just saw Randy's post in the draft thread where we won't lose our 1st and 2nd rounders anymore.... I hope thats the case. I hadn't heard that an thought we'd still lose our early picks next year if we signed a player who turned down the Qualifying Offer......
  16. If we're going to spend, we need to go in with a shopping list. We're going to be giving up our 1st rounder if we sign Correa. A second FA will cost us our 2nd round pick. So we need to do one lump sum. Losing out on two first rounders in a row by signings is death to mediocrity for us in 6-7 years when we should be in the prime, waiting for these guys to be coming up. So Al can't just buy a SS an be done. He needs to put all his chips in the middle this off season if he's gonna do it.
  17. At least we know who our GM will be in 20 years when Yzerman retires.......
  18. Sounds good. I hope you made out like a bandit. I will miss Motownsports very much. It was amazing to go to one site to catch the latest news on all the Michigan sports w/o having to go to each individual place...... Sad and glad you sold it. Great site. I appreciate it very much, you keeping the forums up and running here!
  19. TLDR: Sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere. But does anyone else think we are just going to suck next year? Looking at our position players w/o Greene and Torkelson, we are running out 4th OF'rs at every position. The only starting position player we legit have on a championship calibur team is Schoop. And that's pushing it. You could make the argument for Candy, but a 15 HR 3rd baseman isn't really going to get you far........ (He's no where near the caliber of Mochado, Arenado, Austin Riley etc...) Our pitching is in great shape. But unless we get 7 new fielders, we aren't really going anywhere..... Torkelson, Greene and for argument sake Correa. Lets say we get a flash in the pan and one of our current players takes that next step. We have 4 out of 9 batting spots that are legit..... We are still 2-3 years away from being remotely close to being competitive....... Just my opinion.
  20. I feel like I'm at the rally point two days after parachuting in on D-Day trying to find the rest of my unit. Just so many lost..... so, so many lost......
  21. I guess I'm living under a rock. What happened though?
