The Mel Kiper gave this year's Lions draft a C+...I feel even better about it He dinged Holmes for not drafting for need at DE...even though Holmes doesn't draft for need .

I don't like rooting for Toronto...but man...I really hate Ottawa.

The Lions draft guys who play hard and can move...they want to get on you and pressure you into making mistakes. The Pistons play a physical style of defense...they want to pressure you into making mistakes so they can burn you in transition. The Tigers pound the zone...make you hit their pitch. They control the zone and try to make you throw them their pitch..they take extra bases when ever they can. They pressure you. Al three teams are built on competitiveness, character and our new favorite term...GRIT. The outlier here locally? The Red Wings.....C'mon Stevie..build a team with some GRIT

Dallas should draft Sanders...That clown show is so over the top it might just swallow the Deion vortex of crazy whole

I like Duren a lot...I know he has some offensive limitations, but I enjoy watching him run the floor and attack the rim. Having said that..WTF was with that pass to Cade? Most jr High kids could make that lob. Beasley, Cade and Harris were not good (although Harris was a +10) ...NY had big games from Brunson and KAT and the Pistons still almost won.

Pronman's 1st mock has us taking C Jack Nesbitt...a 6-4 LH shot with a good two way game. Also mentions LHD Jackson Smith if he's there. Have not seen Nesbitt ranked that highly anywhere else.

I would re sign Kane...if they don't they have to find two top six forwards. I would love to sign Tavares...Make him the 1C and let Larkin play wing or bounce the two of them around like they did with the Euro twins back when they were really good. Although Lombardi might be good enough to force the issue a bit. I'd love to see Mazur and Danielson force their way onto the roster next year on the bottom six with Copp, Ras (who I would be open to including in a trade for a LHD) and Compher.

No one is good enough to lead a team into the playoffs on their own. Add a scoring LW with some edge to play alongside Larkin and Raymond and a legit top 4 LHD with some physicality and this is a playoff team

Other than bringing Kane back...every offseason move SY made came up short. Compare that to Trajan Langdon and the Pistons. He brought in Beasley, Hardaway jr and Tobias Harris and all three of them contributed mightily to the team's record improvement. Huge offseason for SY...he needs to make some moves that are more than just stop gaps

Thought they might backslide a bit this year...and they did. Only real bright spots were the emergence of Kapser, Johansson and Edvinsson (lead the team in +/-). They desperately need a top LW to pair with Larkin and Raymond. Improving the D would be nice...but I don't know that they can with the current number of guys under contract

Doubt we can afford to add Forsberg. O'Reilly would be cheaper low hanging fruit in terms of $$$ and the assets needed to get him
