  1. Sounds like this fool was a groyper
  2. Football actually already is a club sport at most univerisites
  3. I think college basketball will remain with NCAA and college football will become it's own entity. It is inevitable, and I agree, probably for the best at this point. Sure, Toledo beats Miss St or Purdue every once in awhile, but watching Toledo against the Buckeyes is just stupid at this point. At this point it is a waste of time for everyone involved, I get the small schools get big payouts that help fund their athletic departments, but for the actual team it is so stupid. It is risking the health of your players before they go into conference schedule. **Yes, I remember Toledo beat Michigan at the big house almost 20 years ago (20 years already????) but, does anyone think that could happen again?
  4. Just to be clear, I wouldn't be that "concerned" about it if i I were UM fans. They should be able to get just about anyone they want out of the portal. I agree Underwood was about the money, but, if he starts to think by staying at UM it is going to hurt his future earnings (NFL) and he could still get paid somewhere else, I would be shocked if he wasn't thinking about it. I agree about Jordan Marshall. If he doesn't get much run this year, he might bolt for Cincinnati, Kentucky, Louisville, Tennessee, etc. Haynes is a legit back, and I get why Michigan took him, but at same time I was surprised. I thought Marshall was primed to burst onto the scene this year. He can't be happy about UM bringing in Haynes.
  5. This is the question and I immediately thought of it when he was bickering with Haynes on the sideline (which really isn't a big deal, it is an intense sport and Haynes seems like a hardass) - However, if Underwood truly is getting $4 mil this year, and the whole season looks like it did against Oklahoma with regard to playcalling and WR play, I mean, wouldn't he be kind of crazy to stick around for the next 2 years of his career? Especially with LSU going to be needing a QB next year. During the recruiting process Underwood made it very clear he wanted to play down south. He did not want to play at Michigan (or Ohio State). LSU always has NFL WRs running around the field. I am sure they can pay him millions as well. Would anyone be surprised if he bolts?
  6. To be fair, if Harbaugh didn't run for the hills - this likely would have looked different. Moore wasn't the HC, so the punishment on the HC wouldn't have been the same. But yeah, this "punishment" is a joke with the NCAA flat out saying there was more than enough evidence to levy a 2 season posteason ban, but they didn't want to "punish" the kids or whatever BS. Basically it was announced by the NCAA today that if you are a blue blood, go ahead and cheat and make sure you deny deny deny, no real repercussions. Will be interesting to see how far programs like OSU, Bama, Florida, Florida St, USC, etc go now that they know they can get away with anything. Michigan too, they found out today they can get away with flat out cheating, lmao. Will be interesting to see how much they double down now. Especially now that the illusion of the "michigan man moral superiority" is completely crushed. That sound you hear is all the major blue bloods closing their compliance offices effective immediately.
  7. My favorite part is that the NCAA admits it was glaringly obvious they did it and it was impermissible. They said it warranted a 2 year posteason ban but aren't going to do it because "won't anyone think of the children???" The moral of the story is: If you are a big college football brand you can cheat, just have to pay a fine if you get caught. Also, deny deny deny deny.
  8. I would expect Mizzou to get the death penalty as well
  9. Paddack is horrible, I do not understand why so many teams were in on him. It was reported this morning multiple teams were bidding on him.
  10. So, I am a Reds fan that grew up closer to Detroit (Toledo, OH), so I still follow the Tigers as well. McLain is indeed at 2nd. However, he has not been particularly good this year, and he could always move to the OF or 3B. Not sold Sal Stewart will be able to stay at 3B as he gets older and larger. Also, Max Anderson is another trade chip the Reds could use to acquire more talent in the offseason for an actual run next year. They have a solid young rotation and Elly De La Cruz. If they don't do much again this offseason it will be terrible.
  11. Herring isn't a fringe prospect. He is trending up pretty majorly, was just drafted last year. He has been lights out this year. That is a good get for McMahon. That tells me the asking price for Geno is huge.
  12. Ha He was among the top 5 pitchers in baseball down the stretch last year and can pitch out of pen and rotation. I think he is a perfect pitcher for the Tigers, honestly. Take a look at what he did 22, 23, 24.
  13. Didn't say I did, ha. Just curious how the Tigers prospects are viewed. This guy is around 10th ranked in system according to mlb pipeline.
  14. Tigers Get: Nick Martinez Reds Get: Max Anderson Who says no?
  15. This might be the craziest thing I have ever read. And I am currently reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl series.
  16. Yes, he is really fun to watch. This is first time in awhile the Reds have a star position player. Unfortunately, he is a Boras client and it was reported yesterday the Reds have offered him extensions but they are "far apart" - AKA he wants to test FA. Reds have to build a winner like right now, and this team ain't it.
  17. Fun series this weekend, I honestly cannot believe the Reds came back yesterday. That was either the 1st or 2nd time they have come back from being down after the 6th inning this season.
  18. So Friedl for a bucket of balls?
  19. So like I was saying, we thinking Friedl for McGonigle? 🙂
  20. The US is absolutely horrible. We are the baddies.
  21. Reds offense is very hit or miss. They usually do not fare well against bullpen games. My prediction? Tigers 5 Reds 1
  22. I think there is going to be a bidding war for Nick Martinez. He is kind of a perfect pitcher for a contending team. He has been very solid as a starter and has back-end of the bullpen relieving experience.
