  1. Even as a kid I always knew Doris was a traitor.
  2. Kon Knueppel is impressive. 7-11 from three for 27 points with 3 minutes left in the game.
  3. I have the same complaint about OKC that I have about Detroit. Play someone! I realize they do not control the schedule. But theirs makes Detroit's look difficult.
  4. Love seeing two of our guys on that list
  5. I do think Markkanen is available for the right price. But Ivey/Holland/Picks isn't getting it done. Markkanen/Duren also forms one of the worst defensive 4/5 combos in the league. I would give serious consideration to Zion if the price is right. Harris/Sasser/Jones this year's 1st round pick. Nothing more. I would throw a big offer at New Orleans for Trey Murphy. Harris/Ivey/Holland and 3 1st round picks for Murphy and Herb Jones. Reports are everyone on the Kings is available. So you could get Lavine. I wouldn't but they could. I see fans mention Siakam. I would be interested but I don't see Indiana trading him. I would kick the tires on Julius Randle. Fantastic on offense, bad on defense, so pairing him with Duren might not work. Miles Bridges is probably available. Another guy who is decent on offense, bad on defense. People bring up Michael Porter Jr a lot from Brooklyn. He's a bucket and can shoot the three. His defense would have to improve quite a bit to be considered bad. Seriously, one of the worst defenders in the entire league. A lot of pretty flawed players on that list, which is why most of them are available, probably. The only one I listed that really interests me is the Murphy/Jones trade. There has been no indication Murphy is available. But my offer is a big enough overpay they would have to at least consider it.
  6. Sure. Create a scenario where the season ends with Detroit right at the salary cap. Harris makes $26 million, so when his deal expires it would drop them $26 million under the cap. Meaning they could spend $26 million on a new free agent. The reality is, they are quite a bit over the cap. Far enough that his expiring $26 million will not create any new space to sign someone. That $26 million still comes off the books, obviously, but it doesn't create cap space to use on a new player. You basically have three options at that point. Option 1. They like Harris and want him back next year. They have his Bird rights and can go over the cap to keep him. Option 2. They want to move on from Harris, but still want to use his $26 million on a player. Since letting his contract expire won't create cap space to use, you have to trade him for a guy making similar money. If his contract is longer, you still have him on the roster next year. If he also expires this summer, they would have his Bird rights and could go over the cap to sign him. Much like Option 1 with Harris. Option 3. They don't want a player and prefer the $26 million just goes away. Duren/Ivey need extensions this summer, Ausar next year. So losing that $26 million off of the cap might be desirable.
  7. My first thought. The FBI will be looking into this.
  8. You basically just have to finish in the points, and one of your drivers is going to win the WDC. Then you pull this ****.
  9. Yeah, trade for this guy.
  10. Denver is an odd team. They are 12-4 with their 4 losses coming against GSW, Portland, Chicago, and now Sacramento.
  11. I doubt Milwaukee would do that. They cut and stretched Dame to sign Turner. They have $22 million in dead cap space for 5 years to sign Turner. No way they are trading him for young guys/picks. Plus, they don't even have a backup C, they mostly use PF's for the backup C minutes, so they wouldn't move Turner without getting a C back. The only way they move Turner for prospects/picks is if they also are trading Giannis. Not sure if you really want Turner anyway. The shooting is tempting, for sure. But he looked pretty bad in the playoffs against NYK and OKC I thought.
  12. When are they losing? 5 game west coast trip and they will be favored in all 5. I guess as they advance in the tournament, they will face teams not currently on their schedule. Those could be good teams. But other than that its a cakewalk of a schedule.
  13. The Pistons schedule is just littered with terrible teams. Looking ahead its hard to find a game where you think Detroit might lose. Maybe Orlando? I don't think they are very good, Banchero will still be out when they play them. Lakers would probably be the next one. But you never know when LeBron or Luka will rest. Then Cleveland would be the next game where you think going in Detroit could lose. Lakers game is December 28th. Cleveland game is Jan 4th. That is something like 13 or 14 games before the Lakers game.
