  1. There needs to be massive structural changes to NBA rosters to allow teams to develop young players. I do not know anything about the NHL. But I imagine when the Wings send a kid to the minors they can replace him on the big clubs roster. You can't do that in the NBA. You get 15 roster spots (Plus two 2-way contracts) and that is it. So you have two guys out with injuries in Burks and Bagley, now a third with Duren. You are down to 12 healthy guys on the big roster. With a 9 or 10 man rotation you can't really lose Hayes to the Cruze and only have 11 healthy bodies for the Pistons. They need to expand the rosters to 25 players. 15 on the big team and 10 in the G-League that you can call up as needed. 3 guys get hurt you put them on some sort of IR list where they are out a minimum of 10 (or whatever) days and you can call up 3 G-League guys to replace them. I don't know if that is the perfect fix but something like that needs to be done.
  2. The Nets, Kyrie, and the Anti-Defamation League released a statement saying the Nets and Kyrie will both donate $500,000 to causes that work to stop hate.
  3. Kyrie is providing good cover for the Udoka hiring. Almost nobody is talking about the Nets hiring a coach that did something so bad his previous organization thought he should be suspended for a year. And they hired him after serving about a month of the year long suspension. Maybe that was an option for his punishment. A year suspension or coach the Nets.
  4. Yep. They said people buying I-Bonds on the last few days of the higher rate were not guaranteed to get them in time. S a ton of people must have been trying to buy. Makes sense.
  5. I almost think the fixed rate is worth losing a couple of percentage points. I know I will be buying my dad another $10k worth at the first of the year.
  6. Well OK.
  7. By sides he means Boston? They would need some sort of compensation to let him go wouldn't they?
  8. And the winning Tweet is...
  9. They released the new I-Bond rates today. 6.89% and 0.40% fixed rate.
  10. Well done graphic. AWS bringing in the profits.
  11. Bojan is a very desirable player and doesn't need a bigger selling point. I imagine Ainge had calls from every contending team in the league when Utah was trying to move him. It is just insanely difficult for a contending team to come up with matching salary. Most contenders probably wanted him to hit free agency so they could try to snag him with the MLE.
  12. So they can dump him for $2M. Not bad.
  13. Probably still pretty difficult to trade him due to his contract. Contending teams usually do not have $20M laying around they can part with in a deal.
  14. I can't tell if he is serious or just looking for an excuse to fire some people. https://www.theverge.com/2022/10/30/23431931/twitter-paid-verification-elon-musk-blue-monthly-subscription
  15. Lakers about to get their first W. Stupid Denver.
  16. Bojan isn't the only player from that trade that is on fire. Olynyk is shooting 62% from three on 3.5 attempts per game.
