  1. I think a member of the British Royal Family was just arrested for insider trading. Former Prince Andrew Arrested Amid Epstein Probe
  2. The fact they are debating if it will or won't be 2% seems like a win for tariffs. I know I was wrong predicting much higher inflation. The interesting thing to me is what happens when the left regains the White House. The way they have railed against tariffs, you would assume they would all be stricken from the books at 12:01PM on January 20th. But government doesn't have a long history of giving up revenue streams like that. So we'll see what happens.
  3. I can't prove he wouldn't be a 1st rounder. But the odds were definitely leaning more towards him being a 2nd rounder. Givony had him ranked 28th, and he is one of the better draft analysts around. Don't forget, Yaxel kept his name in the draft after announcing he would play for Michigan. He said his goal was to find a guaranteed (Meaning a 1st round pick) contract. He didn't want to bounce around the G-League. The fact he remained in college would suggest he wasn't very convinced he would be a 1st round pick. UAB star big man Yaxel Lendeborg commits to Michigan
  4. The creativity that place inspires.
  5. The Lakers could have $65 million in cap space this summer if they want. They could sign Dybantsa, Boozer, and Peterson to $20 million a year deals. What a dumb idea.
  6. They didn't even tell us which was the NBA player's car and which was the normal civilian's car. Seriously, there are a ton of clips of him leaving the arena and running stop signs, red lights, cutting people off. I'm shocked he hasn't been in an accident before this.
  7. There are quite a few names on that list I would take Cade over. Mitchell, Booker, Brunson for starters. Healthy Embiid, Steph, and KD.
  8. Someone organized all the KD messages. Calling Russ a triple double cocaine bear is hilarious https://www.kdfiles.com/
  9. From Wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_shuffleboard In order to decrease friction, the table is periodically sprinkled liberally with tiny beads of silicone (often referred to as shuffleboard wax even though silicone is not a wax, or sometimes as shuffleboard sand, or shuffleboard cheese, due to its visual similarity to grated cheese). These beads act like ball bearings, letting a puck slide down the table a great distance with only a slight push. There are many different speeds of wax to choose from to match the player's skill level. Powdered wax is made of silicone, cornmeal and sometimes compressed walnut shells. The longer the table, the greater speed of wax that is needed. Faster speed waxes have more silicone and less cornmeal.
  10. They are jumping on the GLP-1 craze. Those drugs burn muscle as well as fat. So they recommend eating plenty of protein so you don't lose muscle mass. These companies are just trying to take advantage of that.
  11. Seems like Netflix is telling Paramount to put up or shut up. I also think I read Netflix has a $2.7 billion breakup fee. So they win either way.
  12. 1929: Inside the Greatest Crash in Wall Street History--and How It Shattered a Nation Started reading that this morning. Andrew Ross Sorkin wrote it. I had a good laugh at a tactic practiced then and now, adjusted for technology. In a section about Jess Livermore, they discuss how Livermore was obsessed with the ticker machines and had one in each room in his house. The problem was, even on light trading days, the ticker could be up to 15 minutes behind. So he hired people at each exchange to phone him with up the second stock price updates. Same thing today, except now they pay millions of dollars to have a server as close as possible to the exchange servers so they get the price a hundredth of a second before their competition.
  13. The OKC game has been flexed from 7PM to 7:30PM, so ESPN can show it.
  14. Good luck getting the conference commissioners to give up power.
