Personally, I think the conversation is either Holliday plus or Mayo and Basallo plus as your pieces and build around those. Skubal being signed for 2 1/2 years is a big reason for the ask and honestly we probably don't want to trade him so it would have to something along those starting lines.

Now if Rainer or Griffin drop they will take him but if they don't it feels like they will grab Caminiti. The prep path tracks for Connor who ran San Diego's drafts prior to coming here and they were not shy about taking HS'ers. From his last SDP draft he drafted James Wood and Jackson Merrill so let's hope he can continue that streak with our drafts.

Honestly it's unfortunate that Hurter looked like he pulled something in his last start. I know his ERA looks rough but his FIP is a whole run lower than his ERA and has a .360 BABIP running this year while striking out like 12 per 9 innings. He's almost 26 now so if he isn't hurt I would love to see what he has even if it is to bring him up to take Wentz spot and be the LR for when Maeda or Montero start.

Anyway back on the actual topic of this thread which shockingly isn't whether or not Keith should be moved to 1st. One trade chip that seems to have been on the back burner and honestly I hadn't thought about much is Carson Kelly. He has a wRC+ of 108 on the year and has been worth 1.2 WAR (according to FG). Looking at the teams who may want to upgrade at catcher you have Texas, San Diego, Arizona, Seattle, Minnesota, and NYM in the bottom half of the league regarding WAR from the catcher position. Not going to get a premium prospect for him but you may be able to pick up a Hao-Yu Lee type. Also let's not forget this was a Harris signing and honestly a good one.

He just never looks comfortable out there.
