Clark has had a roughhhh month. I decided to dive into the numbers a bit. Since 5/11 he has sported a .175/.371/.275 line. 22% BB rate but also a 21% K rate. Somehow, that is still a 105 wRC+. Diving deeper, his BABIP during this time is .214, which is about 100 points lower than he averaged in his previous seasons. To put it another way, while Clark is cold right now, he should have better luck soon.

They just optioned Kjerstad down to AAA again. Bet they wish they could get Stowers back from Miami. I just popped over to the Orioles hangout, and they are very much doom and gloom over there.

BA Mock Draft https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2025-mlb-mock-draft-4-0-latest-first-round-pick-predictions-for-every-team/ 24. Tigers — Xavier Neyens, 3B, Mount Vernon (Wash.) HS Neyens remains a polarizing player who is hard to slot in mock drafts. The range of opinions on him is wide, and there are also some questions about how difficult he might be to sign out of his Oregon State commitment. Neyens has as much power upside as any player in the class, but he is less hitterish than a lot of Detroit’s recent picks. Coy James fits that bill a bit more and might be a fit here. 34. Tigers — Riley Quick, RHP, Alabama Detroit is one of a handful of teams who were scouting Quick heavily down the stretch. His arm talent would make him a great second pick for the Tigers.

That's literally the same thing that happened to Colt Keith when he was in WM. His throwing strength was never the same. 😬

I think he is someone to keep an eye on. He is still relatively young for a college draft pick, at 21, and won't turn 22 until August.

I mean, I get it, but is he going to play over Rogers or Dingler? While the bat would be nice, he's a negative on defense based on metrics, so I agree that I don't love losing people in the Rule 5; it's what happens when you're a good team. Lucky for us, we are also not hurting on the catcher front for prospects with Jimenez, Briceno, Liranzo. -
In other news, Hayden Minton has been promoted to WM, Carson Rucker is on the 7-Day, and Mattison is starting his rehab with Lakeland.
