  1. https://www.baseballamerica.com/teams/2009-detroit-tigers/prospects/ BA updated their rankings, and Flukey, Dempsey and Adams are all in the top 12.
  2. I mean it's not like Kreidler is setting the world on fire. The 18 HR from Clemons would be nice though.
  3. Catching some High-A and checking out some potential future tigers watching the Loons (Dodgers affiliate) and Whitecaps playing today.
  4. Dang, Burch Smith catching strays
  5. Fenech saying he thinks the we're buying came from AJ instead of Harris.
  6. This is part of why the MLB draft is so different from other drafts, you have a pool of money so you aren't always picking the best player in the next round you may be picking someone who would probably get picked 10 rounds later but you can give them less it's all about the math and making it work for you.
  7. I mean both those guys are seniors, it's why you take them at the back half of your top 10 to help your flexibility around the other guys who either get floated down or you are going over slot. Yeah those signing bonuses aren't great but they still get to play baseball professionally.
  8. OK these have to be rage-bait right? Especially that Colorado one.
  9. BA did a review of the draft class but here are some tidbits. Favorite Day 1 Pick: RHP Evan Dempsey Dempsey is one of the best true two-way players in the 2026 class. He hit well over .300 in all three seasons with Florida Gulf Coast, and finished as a career .329/.413/.508 hitter with 20 home runs and 44 doubles in 162 games. He pitched as a full-time starter for the first time in 2026, taking solid steps forward with his stuff, and owns a career 2.88 ERA in 162.2 innings. Pro scouts prefer his upside as a pitcher. Dempsey is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound righthander who pitches from the stretch and throws from a low and slingy arm slot. He added almost three ticks of velocity to his fastball in 2026, and now sits around 92 mph and will touch 95. He does a nice job throwing the fastball in the zone to set up a handful of swing-and-miss secondaries. Dempsey has great feel to spin the ball. He attacks hitters with a mid-70s curveball with big two-plane depth and 3,100 rpm spin and a low-80s sweeping slider with less depth and more glove-side lateral bite. Both pitches have above-average potential but will need more consistency and power at the next level. Dempsey has a mid-80s changeup but he doesn’t use it often. He’s a solid athlete and strike-thrower, and could make significant strides when focused on pitching full-time. His profile is reminiscent of 2025 two-way player and Royals second rounder Michael Lombardi. Quickest To The Majors: RHP Cameron Flukey. If he’s healthy, there’s no reason why Flukey shouldn’t be one of the most major league-ready pitchers in this class. He has power, multiple quality breaking balls, high-level command and a strong track record as a starter.
  10. Interesting that Briceno is #2.
  11. Not surprising, the real question is how much over slot
  12. Well here is another check-in about a month later. Adding in Tusen because well he's been on fire and he signed for 400K so not a small amount. Manuel Boliver (C) - .338/.443/.513 Randy Santana (OF) - .238/.398/.425 Oscar Tineo (SS) - .268/.370/.354 Eduardo Tusen (SS) - .327/.368/.579
