  1. Completely agree, I know everyone wants better results and quicker since they passed on Mayer but at the end of the day the kid is probably pitching from the stretch for the first time this year and could still absolutely be a top end starter.
  2. Jobe with one of his best starts yet; 5IP 6H 2ER 6K 1BB
  3. God has shined on us today. The game has been postponed.
  4. Same here even if only to give my boy Josh Crouch a try at AA.
  5. I was looking at Seattle and their glut of OF; and ran across this and I wondered how much extra Jesse Winker has to pay for turtlenecks?
  6. Agreed. I would like him and Lipcius to be moved up.
  7. Perez with a big night so far HR short of the cycle
  8. Good nights from Meadows, Perez, Campos, Cabrera
  9. Yikes, poor guy finally gets back and has something like that happen.
  10. Eh, it's all the fun of the lead up to the draft, with the MLB club doing as bad as this is as good a distraction as any.
  11. I was doing some quick research because I was curious on how Santana has been since his injury back in May. He came back on 6/9 and he has a slash of .280/.426/.400. The 26% K rate is not ideal obviously and a .408 BABIP is probably keeping him up a bit but a wRC+ of 148 sure is nice especially for a 18 year old in Low-A.
  12. This is not an endorsement of WWS but the guy they had on who seems to have decent credentials is saying he still thinks they take a bat at 12.
  13. The Athletic had a good write up about it but from my understanding everyone is pretty much in the same boat as us, here is a quick excerpt I found interesting. https://theathletic.com/3424956/2022/07/15/eduardo-rodriguez-tigers-contract Although it’s possible Rodriguez could return to the team, the uncertainty creates questions as the Tigers assemble their roster for the future. Jeff Fannell is one of the leading sports labor attorneys in the industry. He declined to comment on the particulars of this case for a valid reason: He works with Mato Sports Management and is advising Mato on Rodriguez. That’s an indication Rodriguez’s camp is preparing for whatever might happen next. “As you may imagine, on several levels this is a sensitive situation,” Fannell wrote in an email. This situation is more difficult to assess than most, given how little has been made public about Rodriguez’s circumstance, and how unusual it is. “I don’t remember scenarios like this,” said Ed Edmonds, a professor emeritus at Notre Dame who has done extensive research on MLB labor issues. “This seems very unique to me.” Do the Tigers even have appropriate grounds to consider voiding Rodriguez’s contract? “The short answer is it depends,” Lust said.
  14. I had to stop following him after basically realizing he brings nothing of substance and isn't like an insider or anything .
  15. Just a quick refresh on this: For July: .217/.294/391 Now we have to see is Paredes can adjust.
  16. Back just in time for when we trade Chafin, Fulmer, or Jimenez in the coming weeks.
  17. Also should be noted I remember hearing similar things about Skubal coming out about him being a RP more than a SP obviously he was a 9th round pick rather than a 1st but we have a relatively new instance in which we kept them as a SP but each person is different.
  18. Fangraphs rankings are interesting; Quite a bit different from MLB and the Athletic. 🤷‍♂️ https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/the-board/2022-mlb-draft/summary?sort=-1,1&type=0&pg=0&pageitems=10000000000000
  19. Hard pass on Andujar; defensive liability and has been unable to put up an OPS above 700 in the majors since 2018. He is a AAAA player not worth the trade capital.
  20. Depends on the bat and since we may be getting an automated strike zone soon framing will matter less. I am interested to see if that changes things for what teams look for with regards to catchers. That being said I don't want Susac either.
  21. 1. Cross 2. Jung 3. Young 4. Prielipp 5. Crawford 6. Porter

  23. I will say I am glad we are back in the eastern time zone so I can go to bed disappointed earlier in the evening.
