  1. Updates on Rogers and Turnbull: … Starting pitcher Spencer Turnbull, recovering from Tommy John surgery, is throwing off the mound in Lakeland. “That’s a great step,” Hinch said. “It’s still a long road back but getting off the mound for the first time has to be a positive for him mentally. Just to be back being a pitcher again.” … Catcher Jake Rogers, also coming off Tommy John surgery, is getting closer to a rehab assignment. Hinch said he’s ready to do just about everything on the field, but he has to get his arm built up more before they start the 20-day rehab assignment clock. “We can’t get him live at-bats until he can do everything because that starts the clock,” Hinch said. “Once he starts playing (games), he’s got 20 days to where we either have to option him or bring him to the big leagues. We’re going to make sure he can be a complete player before he's back."
  2. Baseball Prospectus Mid-Season Top 50 update: No Tigers but Jobe is listed at 52 https://www.baseballprospectus.com/prospects/article/75892/2022-prospects-the-midseason-top-50/
  3. I mean he is already 19 clearly too old for his league and his best years are already behind him.
  4. I'd throw Jimenez on there as well, RP's are so up and down get what you can for them then bring up the kids since this season is lost anyways.
  5. Quick hits from last night: Crouch 2/4 2B Season wRC+: 140 Pacheco 2/4 Season wRC+: 117 Perez 1/3 2B BB Season wRC+: 125 (at Erie) Sequera 1/4 2B Season wRC+: 97
  6. Last years 1st round pick for the Marlins decided to make a machine gun style motion towards an ump during a minor league game; he has been away from the team since.
  7. Did H. Castro pull something? That was about as lazy a run up the line in a tight ballgame as I have seen.
  8. and the pitch he hit was low but he kept with it.
  9. Honestly Baez's throw there was bad but Tork should have had it but he has saved him on so many throws this year can't blame him too much.
  10. Not bad for a UDFA. Wonder how far off that list Madden is.
  11. Also you have to wonder if the Royals have something under-slot already lined up for #9. They did last year with Frank Mozzicato.
  12. That's fair, I looked at his stats and was very surprised to see him that high. With Harris coming into his own the Braves didn't exactly need a CF anyways.
  13. Waters was Atlanta's #1 prospect and Hoffman their 23rd according to MLB. Seems like a lot but we will see how it pans out.
  14. The Athletic's last mock before the real deal. Has Jung taken at 11 and Neto at 7. 12. Detroit Tigers: Gavin Cross, OF, Virginia Tech Heard the Tigers with Cross, Barriera, Chase Delauter, Porter, Cole Young and Daniel Susac. I haven’t heard anyone with Carson Whisenhunt yet, but he’d fit for them in multiple ways. I don’t think they take an injured pitcher, and I would be surprised if they were in the Jett Williams market.
  15. Needs to work on his base stealing if he wants to get to the show obviously.
  16. I am guessing this is hyperbole, but I mean Tork is 22 and spent what 1 year in the minors. I think he could use some time in AAA but to be that down on him already I mean that seems a bit much. As for Grossman, yeah bring up Baddoo please or Carpenter for that matter.
  17. Perez hit a 2 run shot to start the scoring off with Dingler following suit. https://twitter.com/tigersMLreport/status/1546182238093574147?t=Z_NPsWPP5dP_5cwQjRjb-A&s=19
  18. Madden with a 5IP 1H 6K performance. Get this kid to Erie!
