Consumer groups have been advocating for proper labeling on labels literally for decades, and there are indeed groups (including the Green Party, before Stein was influenced by Russia) that have fought for decades to get carcinogens out of food, and other products.
The US has a history of sending different products overseas than it sells here-this goes back to such industries as apple orchards that would have to thoroughly clean arsenicals off of them before importing to Europe, but would sell them in the US as is.
Do you know who prevented companies from being required to remove these chemicals from foods in the US? I'm guessing you do.
And anybody who thinks that Trump, who has promised to roll back on regulations in general, is going to make our food safer is sorely mistaken.
