  1. He's great when he plays.. but that when he plays.
  2. Aĺso looks like one of the cops on Super Troopers!
  3. The thing with Whitaker that pisses me off a bit was he could of been the HoF performer that surely gets in, attitude or not. He would state more than once that he COULD of hit 30 homers a year but chose to not and go more for singles and doubles most the time. Lou could also work the count as well as any player but only crankel up hisi HR swing on rare occasions.
  4. Jody Davis, Leon Durham, Bill Buckner, Andre Dawson and Ryan Sanberg etc. That crew I grew up watching on WGN. First thing to do after getting home from school is turn on a cubs game and listen to Steve Stone and Harry Carey. Sandberg had a few more HoF seasons than Lou Whitaker. Otherwise their defense was a wash as both great. But Lou played a little longer and developed power a little later than Sanberg. Otherwise, they both belong and both with their respective leagues where #1 at their positions.
  5. Nothing says "we want you" more than plunking him and almost breaking his fingers.
  6. I believe Parker Meadows just went on the IL and Kreidler and Ibanez were called up.
  7. Parker Meadows on IL?. Ibrnez and Kreidler up
  8. Just look for the next 30-40 homer suprise player to be Jiminez who suddenly finds his power.
  9. I tgink Zimmerman had like 1 good start for the Tiger's for 50 mil
  10. A once in a decade type. Judge was the last. I'm just glad Kurtz is not a Yankee I guess. One good thing about baseball is you get someone that good and you can keep him for 5 years no matter the market you're stuck in.
  11. Yes, 6-5 listed 240. Similar to Judge. A kid that young and you know will still grow. He could put up a similar career path as Judge. Maybe better. I could say to draft guys like that but this guy is a once in a decade( at least) type. Can't believe he didn't go #1.
  12. It's hilarious seeing all these naysayers. 22 years old and has 23 homers in 215 at bats. That's in Ruth territory. Yeah, I know the sample size and remember Spencer NY Yankee did a litte similar but smaller sample size years ago. I can't remember a rookie like this. Doing what he's doing. Nayyyy all you want
  13. Good players do even better.
  14. Je's not a skinny versitile infielder
  15. Quite the oppisite. This team just played beyond its means the first 60 games. The next 50 they are about who they are. A .500 team. As well as the rest if the division played sub- .500. So he got them to play great ball and gave us joy before the long season eats up all the delusions and daily grind sets in. Hinch always pounds into the ground the fact after great performances, you have to come out the very next day and start all over again. The good teams know this and will pace themselves. It's great to get off to great starts but you have to sustain for 162 games. I think Hinch knew this as well and although dissapointed in this recent slump, not too overly emotional. It also tells us how great of a season last year was with the chaos and all. Even that was not sustainable.
