  1. One more note on Kaline. Remember him saying, he had a lot of homers wiped out because of rain outs. Like 8 or so which included one of his 29 season's.
  2. I believe he was leading the league in the triple crown before he got hurt. one year, anyway would have been legend. Also, Kirk Giibson was hurt one season and had 27 hr's in like 120 games.
  3. Well, that makes everything all right... Go Miggy!
  4. Why do the Tiger's play so abysmal at home. Besides that hr by Meadows and the GS by Carpenter, the team seams to play with more verve on the road.
  5. To be honest, they could use some help. the rest of the team isn't doing much. those 2 are carrying this team.
  6. I remember Hasse hitting a few clutch bombs vs. the Indians. Always hit well against his former team.
  7. I miss Hasse already. Not that he was great shakes this season but you know the pitchers knew Hasse well. and he proved to be a 20-25 hr guy. meanining, probably will hit better the rest of the season compared to this other guy Kelly. Maybe not, but try to convince me the new guy is a lot better than Hasse will be the rest of the way.
  8. Hard to believe that's not a homer at Coors and Wrigley. Also, what stats Tork would put up at Fenway if he played there.
  9. good to see the Tiger's use Fenway Park to an advantage. Hit high flies to left... not deep flies to cavernous right field.
  10. Is it too much to ask our manager to chirp just a little to defend his player after such a blatant bad call..
  11. isn't it about time Hasse did something. Like, anything positive. Lately, even his handling of pitchers isn't up to snuff, compared to Rogers.
  12. When did Anderson go down? Didn't see it... sounds like some homer embellishments, of the worst kind. { Edit: actually, I saw it from a different angle on youtube and Ramirez did connect but was just a glancing blow and really didn't hurt Anderson much but he lost his footing }
  13. Tork is about 10 feet total from 5 hr's in that spell. has a severe uppercut swing that generates too much topspin. ball dies at he warning track. can't someone teach him to try to generate backspin where the ball carries..
  14. Two opposite HR's by the Tigers. What's funny is on a Marlin's message board, they were claiming the Tigers{not Miami} were benefited from some juiced balls, courtesy from the League to maybe help Miggy hit a home run. they say the two hr's were helped and the Marlin's balls died at the warning track. Damn. they may be right..
  15. Right. It's past my bedtime. It would be nice to see his what brother can do.
  16. He was a 25+ hr guy before becoming a member of the Tigers. what happened to Parker's power is a mystery. Another curse perhaps
  17. Hinch is always looking out for the well being of the players. Miggy was probably getting tired. it's getting past 10
  18. ,,,also look at the size of the opposing teams compared to ours. I'm not talking about Miggy. Tork is the only big guy. these other teams look imposing as hell compared to us.
  19. difference is the Tiger's need 3 hits to score one run while other teams need just a couple of knocks to score a bunch.
  20. Safe to say the middle of the Padres line-up is so much better. almost Hinch conceding a loss.
  21. Tomorrow is a bullpen day so that probably why. at this point game over anyway
