  1. I like their secondary but will have to see the rest perform that good after all the injuries. They may be great but if they can't put pressure on the QB it will be a tough go on defense.
  2. They may need to score 40 a game to win
  3. Those of course Sparty guys Rico and Mike and include fellow Sparty alum Pat Caputo and Ryan and Chapman who is an insufferable Penn State alum
  4. Astro's been shut-out 3 straight. I doubt they will lay another egg. It Wil be tough to keep them in check
  5. A lot still think he has good power potential. Like 20+ a year. How many infielders start off light hitters here go on to become slugger elsewhere.
  6. You don't sound like a true Detroit fan. One game is all it takes.
  7. Or the 97.1 sports talk. The whole lot are so up UM's ass with envy I can't listen to them.
  8. Twins are really bad. Tigers hummmmmed their way to victory.
  9. Is it just me but everytime I browse the box score the opposite team has 3 home runs. I mean lately every game
  10. It's alrght have one of those guys in the line-up. I'm sure Harris is not that thick as to give up on a potential 40-50 hr player because he's so anti home run/ strikeout. Green also plays a decent defense.
  11. The Phillies have quite the trio in Saurez, Wheeler and Sanchez. All with ERA's under 2.70 and Wheeler leads the NL in WHIP. Tiger's had to face all three.
  12. ...and our scrubs look a lot worse than their scrubs
  13. He's great when he plays.. but that when he plays.
  14. Aĺso looks like one of the cops on Super Troopers!
  15. The thing with Whitaker that pisses me off a bit was he could of been the HoF performer that surely gets in, attitude or not. He would state more than once that he COULD of hit 30 homers a year but chose to not and go more for singles and doubles most the time. Lou could also work the count as well as any player but only crankel up hisi HR swing on rare occasions.
  16. Jody Davis, Leon Durham, Bill Buckner, Andre Dawson and Ryan Sanberg etc. That crew I grew up watching on WGN. First thing to do after getting home from school is turn on a cubs game and listen to Steve Stone and Harry Carey. Sandberg had a few more HoF seasons than Lou Whitaker. Otherwise their defense was a wash as both great. But Lou played a little longer and developed power a little later than Sanberg. Otherwise, they both belong and both with their respective leagues where #1 at their positions.
  17. Nothing says "we want you" more than plunking him and almost breaking his fingers.
  18. I believe Parker Meadows just went on the IL and Kreidler and Ibanez were called up.
  19. Parker Meadows on IL?. Ibrnez and Kreidler up
  20. Just look for the next 30-40 homer suprise player to be Jiminez who suddenly finds his power.
  21. I tgink Zimmerman had like 1 good start for the Tiger's for 50 mil
  22. A once in a decade type. Judge was the last. I'm just glad Kurtz is not a Yankee I guess. One good thing about baseball is you get someone that good and you can keep him for 5 years no matter the market you're stuck in.
  23. Yes, 6-5 listed 240. Similar to Judge. A kid that young and you know will still grow. He could put up a similar career path as Judge. Maybe better. I could say to draft guys like that but this guy is a once in a decade( at least) type. Can't believe he didn't go #1.
  24. It's hilarious seeing all these naysayers. 22 years old and has 23 homers in 215 at bats. That's in Ruth territory. Yeah, I know the sample size and remember Spencer NY Yankee did a litte similar but smaller sample size years ago. I can't remember a rookie like this. Doing what he's doing. Nayyyy all you want
  25. Good players do even better.
