Quite the oppisite. This team just played beyond its means the first 60 games. The next 50 they are about who they are. A .500 team. As well as the rest if the division played sub- .500. So he got them to play great ball and gave us joy before the long season eats up all the delusions and daily grind sets in.
Hinch always pounds into the ground the fact after great performances, you have to come out the very next day and start all over again. The good teams know this and will pace themselves. It's great to get off to great starts but you have to sustain for 162 games. I think Hinch knew this as well and although dissapointed in this recent slump, not too overly emotional.
It also tells us how great of a season last year was with the chaos and all. Even that was not sustainable.
