  1. Positive WAR at the position so far, fwiw. McKinstry isn't off to an awful start, and Ibanez made some plays today that aren't factored in yet. They are getting by.
  2. Gonna go on a limb and guess Jace Jung is "ready" around May 25 or so when his service time is fully manipulated.
  3. Only bit of info I got from it is that he had been working the Lakeland renovations lately. Reads like he was reassigned and crowded out. This is a burner account that hasn't been active in a while, but had enough breadcrumbs around this time to give it at least the appearance of semi-legitimacy. The "arch enemy" line tracks when you see they aren't connected on Linkedin, and it looks like Sartori moved into the role Menzin had last year when the new VP of Analytics was hired.
  4. Yeah, I heard that too and switched it off pretty quickly...
  5. Possibly? I hadn't thought of that? I was more thinking the pre-arb extensions that tend to locked up around Opening Day. Greene would be such a candidate...
  6. As for timing, if your point person for contract negotiations resigns right after extension season and not getting anybody locked up long term, that may be a scab to pick at.
  7. Menzin hasn't really been the analytics guy for a while. He was more that by default in the Dombrowski days, but once Avila started building up the analytics staff, Menzin's duties were more of a traditional assistant GM/jack-of-all-trades type... 8. My theories... Crowded front office, personalities clashing. Between Greenberg and the new VP of Analytics hire shifting Sartori into more of Menzin's duties, he may have felt marginalized. He was named in the racial discrimination suit by the fired clubhouse employee a couple years ago. Maybe something came from that. Could just be burned out... A lot of hours.
  9. Yeah, I suspected they would take over BLS and cook the books some.
  10. Selling this off today as part of a long-desired reshuffle in my taxable account and getting a nice discount on my taxes in the process. I was up something like 20% at the beginning of the year when I realized fees on this fund had increased, but didn't want to take the tax hit to sell it off.
  11. Out of context text from coed beach vb teammate today "I have a pair!" Made me worried in 2025, somebody could intercept texts, and have her booted from the league for a text about sand socks.
  12. Friend of mine who has worked on some recent dem campaigns recently wrote a book with a how to for running for office. I haven't read, but saw him plugging it. Figured I would share. https://www.amazon.com/Running-Office-101-Candidates-Getting/dp/B0DRDSW532?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
  13. Escambia has a lot of federal employees.
  14. I noticed Montero was scratched yesterday for a bullpen day. Makes me think they are keeping him fresh in case he is needed for a Saturday doubleheader.
  15. A speech can be a filibuster.
  16. Story I may have told here once, but in AP Government in HS, a classmate and I fillibustered class for a day and a half, and the teacher allowed it until 60% of the class voted against it.
  17. The only thing I will say is the fact that I saw a TV ad for FL-6 the same day Stefanik's nomination was pulled tells me it's not going to be a 30 point race...
  18. Nope... Bigbie was sent down to make room for Hicklen. Carlos Pena was called up, so they are just going with an extra pitcher.
  19. Recent cuts: Corey Joyce Ulices Campos Garrett Apker TJ Hopkins Manuel Sequera Yimmy Diaz Reylin Perez Pedro Garcia Colin Burgess Eddys Leonard (I think most people had this one) Dylan McCall Blake Pivaroff Cam Brown
  20. It's pretty terrible, but I got a kick out of Immaculate Grid today. Bandle too.
  21. Those rosters aren't final.
  22. I mean... I'm curious if he starts in Erie.
  23. Tigers have any torpedo bats today?
