It generally takes about three years of data for a left right platoon split to have meaning. -

Sample sizes on splits are finicky. It's worth riding it out until the splits are more predictive. -
As I sit with a keeper roster with Abrams, Wilson, and Neto and can't find anybody to pay up for one of them, I am wondering if shortstop is still the scarce position we think it is...

All-time Tigers Madduxes, with the caveat that I don't know what years pitch counts became available. (Edit: forgot to filter out non-shutouts before)

You will tomorrow.

Not with 11K

All time Madduxes (<100 pitch complete game shutouts) with at least 11 K's:

He does NFL and March Madness games on radio, and I'm pretty sure on his way up he did radio, but he probably hasn't done much radio in the pitch clock era. His meandering is entertaining, but causes him to lose track on the radio.

Benetti really is struggling on radio...

Ah... I see why I blocked him. Got tired of stupidity "Why are we blocking Kody Clemens and Renato Nunez?"

Anybody know who that is in the Tigers hat? I didn't, and barely remember him as a Tiger. There are also former tigers in the two right most profiles in the bottom row. -

Stavenhagen and Beck both saying they expect Vierling back on Sunday. The problem is his 20 days expires today. I am not sure what kind of latitude there is, and I am pretty sure he has to be activated tomorrow. -

I'm the guy intrigued by Seelinger in Toledo, even if that is foolish to be so. -

Three way deals I just lump each of the three teams as who they got and who they gave up. As far as I am concerned, the Tigers traded Granderson and E Jackson for A Jackson, Coke, Scherzer, and Schlereth. As good as Granderson was for the Yankees, I consider this a win still, because Jackson was a big piece for Price (and thus Boyd and Norris and thus Olson). In the sheets I have to evaluate trades, I have a system that metes out percentages each player contributes to the return. So Jackson, Smyly, and Adames would get credited some percentage of Price and everything after Price. This gets pretty intense when you start getting 20 trades deep and you have some odd salary dump trades throwing it off. -
Who's the woman in the dugout next to Greene? edit: assistant trainer Kelly Rhoades . I was curious if it was Georgia Giblin, but it didn't look like her. Anyways, carry on.

Catchers have gone the way of running backs. Teams have 1 and 1A. Also. If you are counting on Nido to fill the gap, we don't know if he clears waivers this week.
-
This would be terrible. Briceno? Maybe. Not Dingler, a guy with five more years of control and a 2-3 win guy right now.

One could say the deal was conceived in that instance? -

Tough to do that cycling back and forth with the new five options rule. My guess is they stick to handedness when moves come. Malloy goes down for Vierling. Baddoo for Meadows. Perez may stay in the minors. But things tend to work themselves out. -

I don't mind that one. Sam Miller being back in the game is great. -

Hicklen: Major League Split (3 days, $761,000). Minor League Split (183 Days, $123,900)... But he's not really earning this, but it counts toward the CBT, he was acquired on a cash deal that I assume is the maximum ($100,000). Kreidler: Major League Split (25 days, $764,900). Minor League Split (168 Days, $150,518). Nido has a $1,500,000 major league split and a $225,000 minor league split. Just the contract he agreed to as a free agent, but time in the minors prior to being selected doesn't count toward CBT. If he gets outrighted, it will.
