  1. Yeah, they aren't the 2003 or 2019 team... I'm willing to lay that marker down right now as well
  2. Offensively, this team seems better than the 2022 variety even though it still isn't good. A lot less 1-2-3 innings overall, even though they have struggled in leverage situations. My too early hot take is that if they figure out the right mix and get more consistency from the bullpen, they will make it to 70+ wins.
  3. The Angels are also being hyper-aggressive in calling up Neto as well. Maybe it works out, but the headlines say as much about their org as they do about Neto imo
  4. Meanwhile, if Baltimore wins over the Jerk Sox, this team will somehow be in 3rd place in the division lol
  5. In a situation like this, it demonstrates that despite the decline in skills, he knows situational baseball. If anything, that moment today is the most ideal way to use him... even at his age, it feels like he can be trusted to advance a runner or score them more than most on this team
  6. This team may lack talent, but they make up for it in mettle.... love the effort, nice win
  7. Outstanding performance by the pen today
  8. Go get the win, Boys... don't let this thing go to the 11th
  9. Stealing the win last night feels big, the Tigers pen is a lot more rested should this thing go into extras
  10. TORK!!! Proud of these guys, one hell of a comeback today
  11. Trey Wingenter may be one of the more Jekyll and Hyde pitchers I've seen in a while... just nasty stuff if he can throw strikes
  12. Nope. Not really surprised by Garrett Hill... he probably bears the most responsibility for the blown lead last night
  13. Is today the day for Jonathan Schoop?
  14. Oakland A's pitchers last night: 17 R, 11 H, 17 BB, 7 K Yiiiiikes
  15. Eduardo, Jose Cisnero and Johnathan Schoop are fluent one imagines
  16. There's been a lot of discussion about how there are no easy series in the first month and a half - but the Giants are probably the weakest of the bunch and I'm not convinced they are that much better than the Tigers. We kinda saw that at times... if they aren't hitting homers, things generally don't go well for them, they are very one dimensional offensively. Also, we hired their former GM, so let's hope it's more Farhan than Harris who is at fault lol
  17. This game was clarifying from a bullpen perspective - Cisnero joins Shreve, Lange and Foley off the **** list, Englert is fine but needs to be in a position to be used like he's a Rule 5 pick. They need to figure out the last two spots currently held by Hill and Wingenter. Easier said than done, but that's how I see it
  18. There's your team leader right there
  19. Cisnero in... gotta think Wingenter is on thin ice tea leaves wise
  20. Englert was put into a position he shouldn't be in and made one mistake... otherwise he pitched well and got redemption
