But also, isn't part of the Disney discussion about people visiting the state, not necessarily moving there? Last I checked, Disney does a good job and benefits Florida by attracting visitors from other states and separates them from their cash accordingly. IDK how picking a stupid culture war fight and doing the whole "nice theme park ya got there, it'd be a shame if we park a prison next door" routine helps attract tourism to the state. Not to mention I don't see how it benefits DeSantis as he potentially goes to places like Grand Rapids or Montgomery County PA to sell himself as a candidate on the off chance that he actually gets the GOP nomination

It can be both be true that demographic trends have been such that Florida has seen a lot of population growth in recent years and the Governor of Florida picking stupid culture war fights probably isn't the best advertisement for the state.

Meanwhile, in McCurtain County OK... Gotta admit, this county seems far less safe to me than Chicago does.

Granted it isn't a huge departure from what I'm used to (being in TX and all), but was introduced to Green Street Smoked Meats last year during a visit and it was pretty fantastic.

Most of these same people complain and complain about how bad the team is and how much they hate watching it. And one imagines most, if not all of them, will not be among the hundreds that would actually go down to the stadium and watch in 35-40 degree weather. Just can't argue with that lol

I know it's more of a College/Pro Basketball thing, but even if Corporate Sponsorship was a factor, I always wonder why more teams don't do something like "Al Kaline Field at Comerica Park" or something to that effect.
