  1. Coming to a campaign ad near you... unreal
  2. Chafin should have been the selection. Lange's BB/9 is a little high, but tbh, he probably should have been in front of Soto as well.
  3. We all still have to see it to believe it, but I really don't know how Al survives beyond this year. It seems really unsustainable to me.
  4. As much as the result sucks, this is definitely the silver lining to take away from this one.
  5. Gonna need a couple of Carpenters to fix this lemon lol
  6. Soto actually has good stuff, but I just can't trust him. I dont care how many times Cody Stavenhagen tells me he's good, I do not need to see any more of these in leverage situations
  7. Gotta throw a strike there as well.
  8. Gotta throw a strike there. Don't care if it gets murdered for a grand slam, you cannot walk in the guy there
  9. Manning finishing the year strong would be such a big pick-me-up going into next year.
  10. Extremely small sample size, but Danny Serretti has had a good start to his Lakeland career. Double and a homer in his first two games!
  11. Nope. And I agree with the decision... the bullpen needs some rest
  12. Dan Dickerson now lobbying for him on the radio broadcast...
  13. The official account is now tweeting about him lol
  14. Not that far off of a 1.000 OPS in Erie lol
  15. Who said anything about cutting Short and Clemens?
  16. I kinda go back to what Edman said a while ago on the discussion about the 40 man roster... there's enough chaff on there to protect the guys that need to be protected. Zach Short, Daz, Clemens, Davis, W. Castro, etc. These are all guys who can disappear if the org wants them to. So, no, I have zero problem risking spots to give guys who appear to have earned a shot a look. The developmental piece is more understandable, I will concede that.
  17. I'm sure losing Zach Short off the 40 man is gonna be what hinders this franchise going forward
  18. TBF I think there's a good chance Kreidler would have had his contract selected by now without the wrist injury. But we are talking about a historically bad offense made up of a lot of guys on the roster who are likely not long term pieces. I know the position player crop in the minor leagues is thin and all, but it is kinda shocking that with as bad as they are that (unless I'm missing someone, which I may be) not a single contract has been selected among position players to-date. I know we aren't supposed to question anything and stick to the plan and all, but kinda seems less than ideal to me.
  19. (Said literally no one)
  20. Its almost as if players are going to struggle when they aren't given consistent ABs
  21. Also, it's mid August and this team is 23 game under .500. I'm not sure "they should have kept him in AAA" carries much weight at this point.
  22. I'm not saying anyone should be called up right now, but if an injury to Baez or Candy or Schoop happens in the next 60 games, who is likely getting the call? I think we all know it is Zach Short.
