    If you're discussing Grossman in particular, I don't believe that keeping Grossman would have been a positive under any circumstances... I would rather see younger players playing, even if the results ultimately don't show up for them. On Fulmer, hard to disagree.

    If we are being really honest with ourselves, Al would have been raked over the coals if he did nothing as well. Especially given all the discussion about how active they were shopping their relievers. But I agree.... we all should be Sawyer Gipson-Long fans to the extent that he's in the org, but in terms of the "haul", it's not a lot lol

    I don't know that it changes any priors about this upcoming Midterms (ie. probably won't be great for Ds), but I do think it proves once and for all that the success that GOP has in much of the country is in spite of, and not because of, their reliance on pro-life voters and advocacy of extreme positions on the issue.

    Meijer also outspent Gibbs 6:1, I believe. The DCCC strategy piece is something to consider, but at the end of the day, voters are going out and voting for these candidates. For whatever reason, mainstream R operatives (and the press) can't stop letting them off the hook for their choices.

    Whatever one thinks about Austin Bergner or Reese Olson or Wilmer Flores and how "real" they are or not, they are all guys we would likely see before we see Gipson-Long in the majors.

    No kidding... this thing doesn't pass with 60% of the vote in Kansas just on the KC Suburbs and Wichita alone.

    And getting blamed for running an ad that trashes John Gibbs at that. I don't know that I love the strategy, but it feels like these complaints act a bit as a crutch for mainstream Rs to let R voters off the hook for the decisions they choose to make.

    To that end, I don't know that the strikeouts are the issue so much as the one characteristic that I always associate with the Tigers: hardly ever getting on base via the BB. With this year's team in particular, they do not draw walks at near the clip that the rest of the league does (with exception of the White Sox)

    Was it just one graduation? I dont know what Tork's impact to graduation was on FG. Either way, it isn't particularly the fall of the system that bothers me, rankings will fluctuate even for teams percieved to have good farms based on graduations and trades; it's that all these graduations have led to what will likely end up being a 67 win team.

    Wouldn't short sell the Dodgers on that front tho... they have a ton of money yet are Ray-like in a lot of ways though. Either way, the discussion about bringing home a former great to run the team is beside the point... the team needs a new vision, one from the outside, it doesn't need to look to the past.
