He has some power and plays pretty good defense but doesn't have a strong or accurate arm. A .270 hitter that just strikes out way, way too much. Strikeouts are only really bad with guys in scoring position, otherwise they're just another out. And I would rather have a player K and use 6 or 7 pitches than pop out on the 1st pitch, or hit a ground ball. I'm sure there are stats showing Riley as a superstar, it's why I know my opinion is unpopular.

I'm more worried about scoring any runs in this game. On paper, yes, it looks like a loss. But Montero has the ability to shut other teams offenses down, at times. And this KC team doesn't scare many people, they mostly win on pitching and defense. It's baseball...expect the unexpected.
