  1. You mean now? He couldn't before getting beanedπŸ˜†πŸ˜†..
  2. Not many '68 guys left...
  3. Yeah, I've heard of them. I just don't remember one recently. Except for makeup games. It's just....weird. πŸ˜†
  4. But does momentum carry into next season? Some say it does. Hopefully, a strong end of 2024 means good things for 2025. But, IDK.
  5. And Thursday off days. I don't like it, take Mondays off instead. πŸ€”
  6. Yeah, it's new territory for the Lions to be losing quality players instead of scouring other teams waived players. We may lose a few decent players. I wonder if we'll lose James Houston? If they plan on cutting him, make a deal for a future draft pick for him?
  7. Ohhhh...thank you. So yeah, cut him and keep Hooker. H20 put enough preseason plays on film that would attract other teams.
  8. Asked and answered earlier in this thread. Yes, a player has to clear waivers.
  9. Waiver rules confusion. Can teams recall a player if another team tries to claim them? And is there a limit of how many players a team can lose?
  10. Do players have to clear waivers before a team can put them on the practice squad? If so, make Hooker the backup and put Sudfeld on the practice squad once he clears waivers.
  11. I thought maybe today was a makeup day but it was a scheduled game. I really don't ever remember a 4 game series ending on a Monday. Jason called it a wraparound series like it's been done before but it seems pretty strange.
  12. Yeah, it was mostly a joke. But framing will be a thing of the past, a lost art. Kinda like bunting....
  13. And that ABS is really going to take away from the importance of having a catcher who is good at "framing" the pitches. You know, cheating. 😁
  14. There's at least 6 to 10 very close pitches per game that could be challenged. I did fund this, not sure if it was implemented? "For Tuesday-Thursday games in Triple-A and the ABS-equipped FSL parks, the ABS system will call all pitches. The home plate umpire will relay the call after hearing it in their earpiece. The ABS challenge system will be in effective for Friday through Sunday games. The home plate umpire will call pitches, but the batter, pitcher or catcher can appeal their strike call. The ABS system will then rule on whether the call stands or is overturned. Each team gets three unsuccessful challenges per game. Successful challenges do not count toward that total. All challenges must be made within two seconds of the call." https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/milb-rules-changes-for-2024-will-tweak-strike-zone-in-triple-a/
  15. I heard an ESPN talking head say players who use it are selfish because other players may need it. I guess teams only get a few per game?
  16. Cardboard Dan has more personality than the real Dan. πŸ˜†
  17. Uhhh...do these guys spank their bottom when they walk too? πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
  18. And here I thought we would have an issue scoring runs after a boatload yesterday. Yeah, it's the WSox.
  19. Ohhh...yeah. I heard Madden has been doing better lately. Some of these young pitchers they've been calling up are doing better up here than they did in the minors.
  20. They can't pick higher than 10th? What a horrible franchise.
  21. What's ABS inflated?
  22. Remember that time the White Sox were winning this game? Scary times...πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
  23. OMG...Bert's right. They gave Tork a hit on that error. They'll change it, I bet. Error all the way.
  24. No way...error all the way. Should be.
