    I think theres a small chance of Skubal pitching the 2nd game for 2 reasons....Mize will go deep in game one. And...it'll be a Tiger blowout win and we'll only use mopup relievers. With the Tigers not officially naming Montero the game 2 SP, you just never know.

    My guess is if Mize goes at least 7 innings, we'll have Montero pitch. If Mize lays an egg and the BP is used really heavy, we'll get Skubal.

    Willie had a few really good years but 1984 set expectations too high. After all, he won the Cy Young Award and the MVP Award that year. Unrepeatable.

    So Jobe was the reason they scored 6 runs last night. Not surprising...many rookie pitchers are inconsistent. He'll have better games...

    Look at Cleveland this year. -14 and they're 22-15. Win/loss expectancy of 17-20. There's always exceptions.

    Bad teams don't win close games. And good teams beat the teams they're supposed to. But I agree, I was thinking we were gonna lose. Whew...

    Tigers may need to start Skubal in game 2 tomorrow. And hope Mize gives them 7 innings in game 1.

    The only time I went there, it was mid-June. Weather wasn't a factor. But old Tiger Stadium, in the early season, was freezing. All that cement held the cold in and it was like being in a freezer. IMO, baseball shouldn't be played in very cold weather.

    Their last home game, a win, had over 29k. Against the Braves.

    Wrigley Field is a great place to see a game though. We got there early when we went and checked out all the statues and other attractions. We had a blast. I'll be going back there, hopefully.

    Dollander's stats are pretty bad but I saw him pitch and it looked like he had a lot of movement on his pitches. Be patient, get to their horrible BP and blow them away.

    The AccuWeather app says it will stop raining in Denver at 7 PM. IDK if that's Eastern time or not.

    Yeah, the Giants BP blew a JV win in the 9th inning. Brings back Detroit memories...😅
