Here's some of the details I've read;
"His 2026 salary is $10,000,000, which could increase to $20,000,000 if he makes 15 starts in 2025. "

There may be a lot of pressure on Jack. I don't know the exact details but there's something like a $10m bonus on next year's contract if he gets something like 15 starts this season. Like I said, I don't remember the article I read a few months ago.
I don't like the intrusion of her "interviews" while action is happening. I look forward to it being over and getting back to why I'm watching....for a baseball game.
Buxton is a huge loss, if he's out for an extended period. They both walked off the field so hopefully that's a good sign....concussions in sports ...ugh.
I really don't see where he's a fit. Insurance in case of injury would be my only idea. Maybe a QB will go down in training camp, it's my only guess. Like you say, he would be a total distraction.
The Orioles are SO bad, their announcers are calling for their ball boy to go to the All Star game. They're about to get swept in a 4 game series....at home.
I've heard a lot of ex players, in every sport, say that knowing when to retire was their hardest decision. Their minds don't realize how much they've lost at an older age. Rodgers still had decent moments last season but his age really showed. I bet a team will sign him with the hopes that he has a little bit left. Even just to hold a clipboard and possibly be there in case of an injury.
This says the Lions opened as the 1.5 favorite in GB;

Yeah, I read the hit % was close but a bit less. I'm sure neither stat is static, it must move a little bit in either direction.
And sometimes, when they show or tell a stat on TV, they're wrong.
The BP really needs the off day to reset. Like I said, winning masks the ugly. Blowing leads in back to back games is a horrible sign that shouldn't be ignored just because we won. Last night, a late 2 run HR to tie it and then a 2 run HR in extra innings. Tonight, multiple hits off of Holton to tie the game. It's not sustainable.
Searching it and either it was a small sample size or an isolated number outlier. The closest I can find is about 37% of the time, a leadoff walk scores.
