  1. Actually, there was a time when teams would get into an 8-8 slump. Not good enough for the playoffs and not bad enough for good draft positioning.
  2. We could have had the #1 pick for the last 60 years. It's either win the Super Bowl or tank. Make a total mockery of the whole league. Every non-contending team trying to lose every week. That sounds like a good way to destroy the league.
  3. I'm surprised he didn't defer and then pull an on-side kick out of the playbook. 🤣🤣🤣
  4. All game long, an NFL team fights to get the ball. To just give it away, especially a team with a bad defense, doesn't make sense. I know this is the trend with most teams, but I just don't like it. If my team had a top 5 defense, it would make a bit more sense. But the Lions defense against Rodgers? No, I would try to limit his touches.
  5. And it was the wrong call. TD...Green Bay. Counting on our D to stop Rodgers on the opening drive? How did that work out? Unless a team has a top 5 defense, I'll never agree it's the right call.
  6. This. I thought the plan was 2 years of Goff and move on. Either thru the draft (best), expensive FA signing. Or give up draft capital in a trade for one. I would prefer the draft.
  7. Remember the year we fell to #3 and got stuck with Barry Sanders?
  8. Yeah, he's a must-sign. The guy really hits!
  9. He seemed to look better when some weapons emerged. Having a QB to manage the game with no turnovers would work if we build a solid defense. We can do it much faster than most people realize.
  10. If the Chargers-Raiders tie, both teams would make the playoffs. So they should just sit on the ball and tie. 0-0, right? Same as losing on purpose.
  11. Draft position be damned. It's ALWAYS a good day when you beat Green Bay.
  12. Every win for the last 60+ years has been meaningless. Should they just go into every season trying to lose every game? We could have first overall picks at every position.
  13. OK...I agree. Lose, get the #1 pick. We're closer to having a good team than most people think. Easy schedule next season too.
  14. Backyard football. I hand the ball to Timmy, Timmy hands the ball to Jimmy and Jimmy pitches the ball back to me. I pass the ball to Mikey. Any questions?
  15. By all means, defer the opening kick. That way we get the ball first in the 2nd half. Down 35-0, but we get the ball first. Idiot rookie coaching mistake.
  16. When terrible teams like Detroit wins the toss, take the ball. No use getting the ball in the 2nd half if you're down by 20+ points. Stupid decision making.
  17. In the months that really, really mattered, Donald Trump was spending every minute trying to steal an election. If he would have spent that time setting up national standards for testing and vaccine distribution, we may have been better off. We'll never know because his corruption was so deeply rooted, it was not going to change. A total dereliction of duty.
  18. Part of the whole problem (anti-vaxxers..anti-maskers) are from people with limited intelligence (Trumpers) bring politics into the discussion of a virus. The virus doesn't care if you're a R or a D. It's just spreading around because of the stubborn idiots trying to make it all look like it's Bidens fault. Very shortsighted of them.
  19. Yeah, I was surprised when I read it. Rodgers has a bad toe or foot or something too. IMO, it would be stupid to use starters. Here's why; " Rodgers is chasing the Most Valuable Player Award while Adams is close to breaking the Packers’ season-long receiving yardage record" https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2022/1/3/22865866/green-bay-packers-play-sit-starters-detroit-lions-week-18-jaire-alexander-david-bakhtiari
  20. So is it OK to root for a Lions win since it won't hurt our draft standing? We're picking 2nd, unless there are trades. And I saw in the paper today that Green Bay isn't planning on resting any starters. But that may just to please the gamblers. The NFL has to keep their base happy. 😅😅
  21. Yeah, the next presidential candidate. Give me a break, this guy is a disaster waiting to happen. Think about it, as corrupt, or more so, than Trump. Only smarter...at lying, cheating and stealing. In other words, a politician.
  22. According to Trump Jr, the pandemic was going to end the day after the election. Just another stupid lie from an administration that couldn't do anything but lie to their uneducated base; ad1b206e-460e-41ff-bc7d-5ebb904fd638.mp4
