Pitching. Their lineup is championship scary but their pitching is borderline playoff. This division really is open to whichever team gets hot. Why not us? Tigers going to be buyers instead of sellers? Stranger things have happened...

Hinch has the AAA pitcher coming into the game in the 3rd inning. The guy should be the very LAST option. Down by 10 runs or up by 10 runs? OK, use him. But, on the road against a very good hitting team? Hinch is showing us the future if the Tigers trade away their only 2 reliable starting pitchers.

Agreed. Like I said, if some team wants him, they'll need to overpay, big time. At least, IMO. LH #1 pitchers don't grow on trees. So I would want at least 2 major league ready position players, a minor league prospect and a couple AA SP prospects. It would have to be a package that's impossible to refuse, not a points close trade

Look up Burnes, he's much closer to Skubal than you think. I would say Skubal is better, but just a little. Burnes pitches in a much tougher division and has more than held his own. The only way the Tigers should even listen to offers for Skubal is if some team wants him SO badly, they're willing to WAY overpay. The Tigs hold all the cards, we don't have to trade him (yet). But yeah, his value right now is at its highest.

Kinda like the JV trade? All the Tigers ended up with is Jake Rogers and a huge payroll reduction.

We only have 3 healthy starting pitchers with little to no help in the minors. It would be irresponsible to trade a SP without any plan to replace him. 3 BP days every 5 days? Stretch out a RP? It's madness!

It's pretty bad when I was hoping for a ~.205 hitter for him.
