Skubal is a beast. Hinch shoulda let him have the 8th inning.

Keith will be around as long as Harris is. GMs don't admit failure with players they sign longterm. If Skubal stays healthy, the Tigers won't sign him for the money/years he deserves. Greene may be a keeper, staying healthy and playing the entire season was his goal. I could see the Tigers signing him long term. Many fans wanted to give Harris a pass while he sees what he had to work within the organization. This off-season may tell us a lot. I'm still not convinced that Chris will spend the necessary money to field a competitive team. He may look at teams like Tampa Bay, KC and the Twins that seem to rebuild and win with young players. But we're really wasting some good pitching.

His value right now is about as low as it's been. Like I said, he's still young. He may turn into a serviceable 1st baseman or DH. And he is better than a few players we have on the ML roster right now. But we may need more production out of our 1st baseman. Hopefully, he makes some adjustments in Toledo and comes back raking.

I would take that bet. Yes, he's still young but he's so one-dimensional that it's hard to see any value. With that being said, he really is better than a few players in Detroit right now. But that's a low bar.

It depends where they hit. Leadoff hitters getting on base consistently have their place. Home run hitters need guys on base! 😆

Carp is starting baseball activities tomorrow. They say he should be back in Detroit by late July.

I don't want a hitter who hits 25 home runs a year but has a very low batting average or on base percentage. It's why I was never impressed with Torkelson. His home runs are nice but he hasn't proven to be the type of player to put the team on his back and carry them.

I said in a GDT when he was barely hitting .200 that he would finish the season near .300. If he keeps using the whole field, he could be even better.

Uhhhh...take pregame walks more often and we'll make the playoffs. 🤣

He wouldn't be the first 1-1 who was a bust. It was just really bad luck/timing that he was the best player in the draft when the Tigers had the first pick. Oh well, don't compound the error by forcing him on the team for even longer. Cut your losses and move on.
