Skubal has a chance to win back to back Cy Young Awards. The last time this was done was 2008/2009 by Tim Lincecum in the NL for San Francisco. Pedro Martinez was the last AL back to back winner for Boston in 1999/2000. Looking at the AL list, Roger Clemens won it back to back twice. Once as a Red Sox pitcher in 1986/1987 and back to back again in 1997/1998 as a Blue Jay. 11 years later. Even on steroids, that's amazing. 😅😅

Pistons were down 10 mid-2nd quarter. Since then, we've blown them away. Up 21 starting the 4th.

Well, the Tigers finished the season on a 31-13 streak. Over .700 baseball. Not many teams have that good of a streak in a season. As amazing as it was, it took the Twins losing almost as much as we were winning for us to pass them to make the playoffs. It really was an amazing end to last season. But as fans, we can't expect them to keep up that winning percentage. We can hope and root for it, but not many fans actually expect it.

A talking head on TV last night said the Wings have the toughest remaining schedule in the NHL.

And we all know that results matter in the spring games. If Tork has the same spring he had last year? He'll head north....to Toledo. Same with our #4 and #5 starting pitchers. Mize and Jobe? We don't need a 5th SP for a couple of weeks. I don't see Manning making it though, the organization seems to have soured on him.

I don't like all the media fluff pieces in the early spring. I was reading some Hinch quotes today and he supposedly said "Jung can really hit" and "Mize and Manning can both make the starting rotation."
