Correct. Its well known that rookie CBs struggle their first year. And they usually don't get calls from the referees. But the Lions coaching staff know this and they usually ease rookies into the fold. I think our secondary will be a strength by years end, headed into the playoffs. Can you imagine how good this team can be if we have a top 5 defense? Let's go!!

But I agree Avila didn't get much for the All Stars he was forced to trade. Don't forget, he was told to cut payroll so he really had no choice. Did other teams know this? If so, I could see the lowered offers. But just wait until Franklin Perez comes back and wins back to back Cy Young awards. We'll wish we still had Avila........naw....🤣

This! Keep looking for hitting coaches until we find coaches like we have pitching coaches. Pitchers supposedly want to come here because our coaches revive their careers. Find some hitting coaches like that!
