  1. Made me laugh, good job. A weak hitting, old, slow NL player isn't a big deal, it's why we only had to give nothing up for him. The only thing this trade did was create some Tigers chatter.....too many posts about a utility OF who prolly won't make much difference in 2024.
  2. I'm talking about Carpenter. And I'm not real impressed with Greene. All the talent in the world is meaningless if a player can't stay healthy.
  3. Do you even remember last off-season? When fans were upset when the Tigers let Candelario walk? The response was....we have months to replace him, be patient. Or...Harris is new to the job, give him a chance. Well, many fans don't like seeing a 35 year old player with zero upside being acquired. Me? I could care less, I don't see him taking a roster spot from anyone who has any real talents. Like I said, IMO, this move is a nothing burger....a meh move.
  4. No they don't. And his defense improved very quickly. Don't forget how young he is. The guy us going to be a very good player for the next 10 years, at least.
  5. The same way moving Candy last off-season created anger. What I kept hearing was we had months to find his replacement. And then we had Nick Maton to watch for the first part of the season. Don't blame Tiger fans for seeing the negatives in every move Harris makes. Kinda...gunshy?
  6. He's also 35 years old, has little power, speed or defense. Not much upside. But, he's a RH bat. And I guess AJ loves to platoon players, he can hit against LH pitchers instead of Baddoo. If he can make the team.
  7. Young players often get worn down by a long season. It's more than they've played in their career. But moving him would put a huge hole in our lineup. I really don't want to see a 35 year old, weak hitting player with no power, speed or defense taking his spot. This move by the Tigers is quite puzzling. Yes, we need a RH bat but not in a player that really doesn't have any upside.
  8. No. Just no. There are a few untouchables, Carp is one of them. I would trade Greene first.
  9. As fans, we should only care about the product on the field. This guy doesn't have the tools a Baddoo has, speed mixed with power. And he's older. I doubt he'll even make the team. This move has meh spelled all over it. A nothing burger.
  10. Yeah, heck with the fans. Make Chris a lot of money, he's the only one Harris has to answer to. Who cares if we have a team full of utility players and kids with limited experience? It's a weak division, we don't even have to be very good to win it.
  11. Twitter isn't impressed;
  12. So now we have 8 outfielders on the roster. Another .250 hitter with very little power for Harris to acquire? A team full of utility players....
  13. The Lions have to go 7-2 for Campbell to get to .500 as a head coach of Detroit? We can do it!!
  14. If this mornings Free Press was correct, he has until Monday. And they said Harris stated the Tigers wouldn't negotiate with him before he opts out, which he's expected to do.
  15. That's a very good interview. LaPorta comes across as a pretty smart kid. The Lions got a good one!!
  16. I hate those helmets with the gray jersey but just win and they can wear;
  17. Ha-ha...I wasn't the only poster posting in the October games thread in November. 😆
  18. Bally Sports app finally loaded halfway thru the 2nd period but only on my phone. It wouldn't load on my Roku. Not good, Wings are blanked..😔
  19. Bally app not allowing a sign in again....argggg
  20. Exactly. Several years of success are much better than bringing in some 10 game rental who would be too expensive to keep anyway. Right now, I see the Lions as the 3rd or 4th best team in the NFC. Getting to the NFC Championship game seemed like a dream last year at this time when they were 1-6, or whatever. We just need to be patient and enjoy the ride!!
  21. Did ERod opt out yet? How about Javey? 🤣🤣🤣
  22. Might not even make the playoffs. It sure is fun dreaming...
  23. We'll have to see how they play once the playoffs start. Those games are when the best teams play really good. I still say it will be SF at Philly in the NFC Championship game.
  24. I'll jump in. I really don't think the Lions are on par with Philly and SF. And Brad knows it. He's still building with draft picks and free agents. We should be a consistent winning football team for the next few seasons.
  25. But at what price? Multiple first round picks for the next few seasons? I don't see Holmes doing it but....you never know.
