Terrible defensive teams should NEVER defer the opening kick. Big deal getting the ball first in the 2nd half if you're down 35-0. Terrible coaching before the game even begins.
Out SP hasn't been the problem. We have very good depth there. We just can't have a historically bad offense again. That's the entire reason we're so far out of everything. I hope Burnhart isn't signed for next year.
And you were worried about Jefferson...for good reason. But the Lions drafted Okudah and Swift with Hurts still on the board. You just never know what guys will do at the next level.
Didn't work. We were losing yards on conservative run plays anyway. Campbell already took responsibility for bone headed play calling at the end, trying to run the clock out with a lead. We needed ONE more first down to seal the game.
I agree we may win. The biggest difference I see is where the game is being played. The Lions on the road against a team that beat Green Bay in Minnesota. Not gonna be as easy as some people think. It's really hard to win on the road in the NFL.
The level of Lions support amazes and delights me. However, this is their 1st road game. And the Vikings are a much better team at home.
Vikings. 38 Lions 31
Exactly. Putting players in the best position for success. Building confidence and having their backs is the sign of a good coach. It's been awhile since we've had that. Wayne Fontès?
