Seems like a popup between 3rd base and catcher should be caught by the 3rd baseman. The catcher has all that gear on and he's using a catchers mitt. It looked to me like they both lost it in the sky but I could be wrong. Vierling needs to take charge on plays like that and call the catcher off. As for the rest of the defense? It's actually looked decent, that 9th inning catch by Baddoo in LF may have saved the game for us.

That popup that dropped between him and Haase was something he hopefully learns from. Making mistakes isn't an issue if it teaches a lesson and doesn't happen again. Maybe neither player picked up the ball in the high sky...

I just found the attendance for Friday's game. Almost 49,000 for an exhibition game!! The excitement and expectations are thru the roof!

Typical inexperienced player mistake. They're supposed to learn basic baseball plays in the minor leagues...he was already in scoring position.

I agree, he didn't have a good game. But a couple of points...he wasn't playing with the real team, just backups and soon to be cut players. Also, the Lions aren't showing the other teams their real playbook. But...he also played against the weakest players on the Giants defense. Even with backups in there, he should have eaten them up. But in the end, I trust Campbell and Holmes to make the right call.

And he would have much higher quality players surrounding him. That would make a world of difference. Of course, he would be playing against better defenses....

I heard the announcer say a few times that there were 60k fans there. Hard to believe, for an exhibition game.

Scrolling on the screen is good enough. No reason to interrupt the programming. I bet if it were a bachelor show it wouldn't have been interrupted. 😆

The best players never play in the exhibition games. And teams don't show their playbook during these meaningless games. And that's the answer to the question of why exhibition games are so boring...

I use a DVR Xfinity box on my main TV and my other TVs stream Xfinity. It works...just OK. But it's time to cut the Xfinity cord, just too expensive. And they waive the early termination fee if you keep one of their services.
