But if Grossman is tearing it up and the Tigers are contending, we'll want to keep him. This move could be a serious improvement for us, maybe Chicago isn't going to walk away with the division?
Very likely, Upton will be waived and become a free agent. That's because he's owed $28 million for 2022, the final year of the five-year, $106 million pact he signed with the Angels prior to the 2018 season.

And any team that picks him up can get him for the ML minimum? Angels would have to pick up the rest? Move Baddoo to CF and use him in LF? Or do we go with H. Castro, Haase or V. Reyes?
I think the Tigers need to find room for either Hill or Cameron. H. Castro may be able to play OF, but how good? Baddoo/Hass in LF, Greene in CF and Grossman in RF. Hitting Harold would be better off as a backup infielder.
So who is Ja. Lopez and why was he playing SS? Just so he could make 3 (!!!) errors? What a bum...send him back to instructional league. Fire Hinch already...season hasn't even started yet and he has us out of it..../s
Yeah, I've been saying that the last 10 coaches or so. Campbell is either going to win within a few years or we'll just be repeating this again..and again..and again.
True, they weren't hated. But it was a rivalry, there used to be thousands of Jays fans making the trip to Detroit whenever we played. And when Morris pitched for Toronto, it heated up, around here. Fans didn't like seeing Jack in a Jays uniform.
