  1. There's so much we don't know. I read a previous infection from Delta didn't give you immunity from Omicron. Does a recovered omicron infection protect someone from Delta? That would be great as Delta is a much worse infection.
  2. Yes, allergies during a pandemic are horrid. I get seasonal allergies but I'm also allergic to animal dander. So...I got a cat....lol I had a bit of a cold before Christmas. Perfect excuse to avoid several parties. 😆 I read that this new variant doesn't go as deep into the lungs. That's what makes it less severe. Hopefully, it just gets weaker and weaker. Maybe a wake-up call to the world to be more aware? And I still say if there were no Donald Trump and his cult, America would have been much better off.
  3. Yes. Campbell seems to get the most out of his players. Obviously, he has very little talent to work with but they were fighting and never gave up. Unlike the teams under our last coach. If the Lions make a few great moves in the next couple of years, we may be good. It looks like we have a Golden Tate clone in St. Brown. Get a wide out, some defense and maybe we'll have something.
  4. Wasn't there an announcer who totally froze up and had to leave the booth? It's a hazy memory....lol
  5. You could have the next Joe Montana playing QB for the Lions and people would be screaming for the backup. Lions fans have been doing that forever. That guy doing color has no business in the booth. Just...bad. Of course, it IS the Lions. Who cares?
  6. And Stafford with a pick 6 (he leads the league with 4) and a lost fumble.
  7. Huh? Do you mean the highest the Jets would pick?
  8. Not really. It was pretty much a no-brainer decision. Even with our lack of receivers, not too many fans are screaming about us letting him walk. Do we get a comp draft pick for losing him?
  9. Jimmy Carter? I remember we won at the Rams when Billy Sims was a rookie. He was just another players wasted talent playing for Detroit.
  10. It would be to total shame if Rod-gers had to play next week and pulled a hamstring. Or would he be too stupid to even notice?
  11. That's exactly what I was told mine were. One on my chin and one on the back of my shoulder. About 30 years apart.
  12. Well, he gets off on trolling. Not very smart considering the subject matter.
  13. As have I. Its not to be taken lightly.
  14. At this point, keeping people out of the hospital should be the goal. If the vaccination doesn't prevent infection, at least it will make the cases more mild. I guess we'll deal with the next variant when it hits.
  15. I always thought working the peds unit would be horrible. It's heartbreaking seeing ill children.
  16. Does this new variant cause long-covid? If so, these people are idiots.
  17. Don't forget emotionally. My ex said on her ICU floor, there used to be 1 or 2 deaths per 12 hour shift. Now she's seeing up to a dozen per shift...mostly all unvaxxed.
  18. We lost a former baseball player to Covid. Get vaxxed and mask up people; https://www.mlb.com/news/former-mlb-closer-doug-jones-dies-at-64
  19. Can say what he wants about the left or right. The biggest reason our country has screwed up the Covid response is because politics got involved. I firmly believe if Biden was in charge when covid hit, he would have handled things much better and prolly have saved thousands of lives. Or anyone not named Trump.
  20. I remember I twisted my ankle really bad several years ago. They gave me vicodin (sp?) and I took one. I got so sick, I called the doctor office. My stomach was VERY upset, I was shivering AND sweating. Horrible. I also have a friend who had foot surgery. The doc didn't want to give him pain meds because he was afraid my friend would mess his foot up if he didn't feel the pain. Makes sense, the doctor didn't want him to reinjure himself by dulling the pain.
  21. I don't know. I sure wouldn't argue with doctors or scientists who have been studying infectious diseases for their entire careers. More people need to realize that these folks aren't/weren't lying to us when they gave us instructions. This is all new to them and they can only work with the data they have at this point. I remember early in the pandemic that people were saying the virus could live on object for up to 28 days. Not true.
  22. I read that some people have different symptoms with this new strain, if that's what she has. More nasal congestion than previous strain. And more children getting sick.. Makes me wonder if new covid strains will get more and more mild? Or if the newly infected will be immune to new virus strains? I sure hope so.
  23. I think I'll take a break from Twitter for a month or so. It may get ugly. I'll just come here to vent...😅😅
  24. People with substance abuse problems also knew right away it was something they could abuse. I'm getting ready to binge "Dopesick" and I think they'll say people at the drug companies knew. But they also knew the $$ they could make.
