Practice squad defense is actually going into the playoffs worse than last year. It's too bad, fans had high hopes. But no matter what, it's been a fun and historic season.
Play from behind for a slight chance to get the ball just before halftime. If my team had a dominat defense, I may defer. With 8 starters on IR? Take the ball....
After last years NFC Championship game, do Lion players/coaches feel any lead is safe? As someone else pointed out, the roster isn't big enough to rest every important player. I would rest Gibbs for sure, maybe Sewell too. And Goff. And Sun God...where does it end? 😅😅
Agreed. Revenge....and resting players? We all have our opinions but the only one that matters in MCDC's. Play them all game and let chips fall where they may. I just feel injuries have already ruined this season. But just wait until next year, we'll be back better than ever. And Hutch may win comeback player of the year.
I'm in the Championship in my FF, with Goff as my QB and with Jaymo and Bates. So I want them to play but in a perfect world, we score in our first 3 or 4 drives and get the main guys out. The game does have meaning, a win would allow us to win the division by tying the Vikings. A loss and the Vikings get the division with a tie. At least, I think?
Yeah, that could actually make a difference. If we lose to SF, the Vikings would win the division, and the bye, with a win OR tie. After we beat SF, the Lions would win the division, and the bye, with a win or tie.
You're not saying they shouldn't protect the starters, you're just saying Dan Campbell won't rest them. I agree he won't but I would, and he doesn't play them at all in the preseason.
