  1. Bad teams don't win close games. And good teams beat the teams they're supposed to. But I agree, I was thinking we were gonna lose. Whew...
  2. They changed it to an error.
  3. Late inning wins are fun too. Blowouts are better but...a win is a win.
  4. Take the lead and use Holton?
  5. Tigers may need to start Skubal in game 2 tomorrow. And hope Mize gives them 7 innings in game 1.
  6. We may need 10 runs to win these games. This place is a joke.
  7. The only time I went there, it was mid-June. Weather wasn't a factor. But old Tiger Stadium, in the early season, was freezing. All that cement held the cold in and it was like being in a freezer. IMO, baseball shouldn't be played in very cold weather.
  8. Their last home game, a win, had over 29k. Against the Braves.
  9. Wrigley Field is a great place to see a game though. We got there early when we went and checked out all the statues and other attractions. We had a blast. I'll be going back there, hopefully.
  10. Dollander's stats are pretty bad but I saw him pitch and it looked like he had a lot of movement on his pitches. Be patient, get to their horrible BP and blow them away.
  11. I'm not in Denver so it's meaningless.
  12. Pregame is on and it looks clear.
  13. The AccuWeather app says it will stop raining in Denver at 7 PM. IDK if that's Eastern time or not.
  14. Yeah, the Giants BP blew a JV win in the 9th inning. Brings back Detroit memories...😅
  15. If it just a mist or sprinkles, they'll play. I'm confident we'll get this game in. They can't delay it too long, there's 2 games scheduled tomorrow.
  16. The Cubs game was especially boring.
  17. 3 playoff teams is about as good as I remember for a long time. Not just squeaking into a playoff spot but very exciting and competitive teams.
  18. He complained pitchers were pitching him like he was Ted Williams. Well, Ted hit .400, so if they were pitching him like they did Williams, he woulda hit better. 🤫🤫
  19. Along with having much better pitching. JV and Zumaya made a huge difference. The comparison to Tram was always unfair.
  20. But quality Hinch teams are basically just starting. We may be comparing the 2006 to 2012 teams to the 2024 to 2030 teams. A championship in the next 5 years or so would be better results than anything Leyland did.
  21. When Sean Casey got thrown out at 1st base when he hit a single, was it LF or RF?
  22. That musta drove you nuts, living amongst the gloating enemies. 😅
