Skubal is allegedly already playing catch. I don’t know if that’s good news or not.

Tork only seems to have the power to play first base for 1 out of every 6-7 weeks. At this point I just want players who have athleticism and have a competent offensive skill set and approach. I don’t really care what the position typically profiles as.

I can’t support sending him to Toledo again. He needs to figure it out at this level or we need to move on. You can’t keep extending the leash because he’s a 1-1 when he’s last among all qualified 1Bs in WAR. With Torres, Carp, Baez, Meadows and 80% of the pitching staff out, this is a time for him to step up. Riley is. If Tork figures it out the rest of the season and can put together something similar or better than last year—fantastic. Otherwise, move on. The roster is starting to bloat from underachievers.

I’ve always just wanted our typical homes, aways, and an orange option. We finally get the orange option and it’s pretty terrible.

Doesn’t feel like we’ve really developed any pitching under Harris though. The entire minor leagues are just littered with no-upside pitchers at every level and it spills onto the 40-man roster when we end up with inevitable injuries.

Any ones not on a 40-man could still play

I feel like Carpenter as a DH in Yankee Stadium would hit 50-60 HRs.
