  1. I'll try it again Tarik Skubal trade rumors examined through Tigers' past trades https://share.google/traGkK3GseIkp5aJK
  2. The Big Red Machine came darn close
  3. Beck with some thoughts about the dilemma of to trade, or not to trade. He mentions past trades of DD, and when DD refrained. What Tigers history says about trading or keeping Skubal https://share.google/Wva1YFzdclkmtfa6L
  4. In the post season interview I saw with Skubal, he made it clear he believes a teams goal should be to win the WS. I do believe he is paying close attention to Detroit's off season moves. They did very little at the deadline. He was at the AZ fall league watching and posted 2 words about McGonigle "he's ready." I do think he likes Detroit and if Detroit matches offers I believe he would be open to staying. I just don't see Harris going that route
  5. Casey Stengel did it. So did Earl Weaver. It makes sense from a statistical standpoint if you have players like Carp.
  6. Are players able to sign yet? I forget what the window is post WS conclusion. I still want the Tigers to go for him. A couple upgrades and Detroit has a shot in 2026
  7. FYI Murakami hit .095 vs pitches 93+ last year. I do not see Harris bidding on him
  8. Ali said it too
  9. AZ fall lg all star game is today ay 7 ET Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game 2025 https://share.google/WbGo9icyziUQvc7GX
  10. He just turned down a 16 mil contract. Probably looking for 2/32 or more. Lifetime ops .701 and ops+ 97. He is an upgrade over Sweeney. I just don't think he moves the needle much
  11. Read a bosox page suggesting they give up their farm all in for Skenes. Won't happen, but they'd be instant contenders
  12. Today my gut is telling me that Harris will go after Michael King, as most will go hard after Cease.
  13. Both Max and McGonigle are hitting .400+
  14. I don't think he is Harris' type of player. Hi K rate. Cody talked about him on Tiger Territory today. His contact rate on fastball 93+ is low in Japan. Maybe he could adjust? Seems like a risk with potential hi ceiling and low floor.
  15. Cody what's his name from the Athletic has good insights sometimes
  16. Yep. They don't make any predictions or even where they are leaning. They do throw out options and how this fits in with the current roster. They like adding Kim. They're not sure about Bichette long term at ss. They didn't stick on Bichette long. They're not sure about a Bregman fit. But they also stress that Detroit has to upgrade, even if it means logjam at positions. They stressed there is not much to speculate now because Harris keeps quiet. But they think we'll all know more after the GM meetings next week.
  17. The happy farmer said something similar
  18. Given Torres' diminished production post all-star game, teams may be hesitant, and the draft pick absolutely could play a role in a team's decision to make an offer or not. If a team loves him, it won't.
  19. Of course Detroit would like that. Question is, will a team be willing to give him an offer, knowing they will forfeit a draft pick?
  20. That's cool! Wasn't aware that Al Simmons was in that Tigers squad
  21. I can see Gleyber taking the QO. He likes it in Detroit and would have a chance at building a stronger case for a longer deal. He turns 29 next month.
  22. Also declined on Sewald Tigers Decline Mutual Option On Paul Sewald - MLB Trade Rumors https://share.google/POv7DJ1wqFbXwJnMF
  23. In an interview after the Tigers bowed out he was asked about his hopes for the off season. Skubal made a statement that he expects the team to have a goal every year to win the WS. He clearly wants to win, and I would think the Dodgers will be hi on his list. Who wouldn't? You're almost guaranteed post season play every year. The Dodgers revenue is other worldly, and they reinvest most back into the team. If I were in his shoes (my feet would hurt, I wear size 16/17), I would want to play for LAD. Watch them sign Tucker this winter.
  24. Does the CBA expire the day after the 2026 WS ends? Skubal likely won't be signing for months after that, as I expect a lengthy work stoppage. And who knows if the QO will remain in the new CBA Edit to add - just checked. CBA expires Dec 1, 2026. It will be very interesting to see what happens during that short window of free agency after next season concludes
