  1. Twins are losing 7-0 in the 6th. They are flat-lining
  2. Jeimer dfa'd. Reds still owe him over 20 million, even if they buy him out after 2026. His ops+ this year is 11. I don't think I have ever seen it that low for anyone Reds Designate Jeimer Candelario For Assignment - MLB Trade Rumors https://share.google/BxvC3X152AjgF8iQJ
  3. The call was so perfect too - the Tigers march on to the world series! I've watched that at least 200 times over the years. Watching Polanco leap and wave as he lead Maggs around the bases. Always pumps me up!
  4. With those Pistons, for me, in game 5 Ben had a tip back slam that he timed perfectly over Shaq, and it was like the exclamation point in the 4th quarter
  5. Riley may be the best Tigers home grown outfielder since Mr. Kaline and Mr. Horton. He has a ways to go to be in Gibby's class, but his ceiling is higher because of his D. He also plays as hard as Gibby, which may result in a similar injury history. Looking back at his draft, it's close between Whitt, Greene and Corbin for top spot, imho
  6. Other than Skubal, I'd say Kahnle has been the Tigers most valuable pitcher. Definitely an all-star candidate. What a great signing, and there is a year 2 on the contract
  7. Riley had a hall of fame series. If Tucker gets 400 million, how far behind would Greene be? Has to be 300+
  8. DD might have pushed chips in for Skenes. I don't see Harris doing that. Skenes is as good a young arm as I have ever seen. That includes Gooden, Clemens, Blue etc
  9. And not a good start
  10. Long season. Everyone slumps. Tork has still hit some bullets the past week, as has Meadows. Just not in the gaps or holes. The Dodgers slumped. The Yankees and Mets are slumping. The AL Central is slumping. These guys will come around, including Carp. Tork might end up at .235, but I'll wager his ops will be ~ .830 when the season ends. They'll start mashing again about the time Riley goes into another slump
  11. Long, long, long day/eve/night yesterday. Then right into a muddy game on a college field against the hottest team in MLB. Looks so humid there. Might be an ugly series. Hope they rebound tomorrow
  12. Perhaps you could drone some leftovers to Minneapolis? I'll drone you back a Frank Viola autographed ball
  13. Not a surprise, Brebbia has been released Tigers Release John Brebbia - MLB Trade Rumors https://share.google/GcTeaFwzIMOGgNTq6
  14. That's better than any baseball game - have a great time!
  15. I've always felt it's odd to have journalists vote a player in. I get that there is a vet committee down the road. I've always thought players and management should carry the most weight in votes.
  16. Bummer. Hope he can find it again soon
  17. Tampa has played 47 games at home and 28 on the road - after the Det series it will be 50/28. I don't recall ever seeing that. They're going to have a challenging schedule coming up.
  18. Some tension between Santana and a Tigers fan this eve https://www.facebook.com/share/r/16y6mgqVig/?mibextid=D5vuiz
  19. Santana would definitely be in the HOF of killing the Tigers. Along with Jose Ramirez, Altuve, Sal Perez, Al Oliver Cecil Cooper, so many others
  20. The Angels are 36-37 and are only 1.5 games out of the wild card.
  21. I don't think Perez is 100%. He is 35 and his ops+ this year is 89, war is negative. Has his career to date warranted HOF? He did have the monster 48 home run year. But compare his stats to Lance Parrish, who never got any HOF consideration. Parish has higher war, slightly higher ops+, more home runs. If Sal is 100%, how is Lance an afterthought. Personally I think Freehan is a slight nod above both, with his mvp votes, gold gloves and all-star appearances. And Freehan has higher war than both. Also go look at Jorge Posada's stats. His ops and ops+ are much better. I love Sal's game and I do consider him on the HOF fence.
  22. Always enjoy Vin Scully, and terrible Dodgers baseball is a bonus https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1EXHU8tzoj/?mibextid=D5vuiz
  23. Volpe blew the DP with the error that cost them the came. Always good to see the yank lose!
  24. I watched it with the NY feed. Love to watch them struggle
