Being so close and lose sucks. Anything less next year will be such a let down for their fans. Just ask Philly fans.

For me as a fan, it's actually easier to cope following a sweep like in 2012, than to be down to the final 2 outs of game 7 and lose in extras. 2013 still lingers for me. 2012 does not. Blue Jays fans will sting from this until they win it all, which may never happen.

After they sign Skubal they'll have Yamamoto, Ohtani, Snell, Skubal and Sasaki locked up for years.

So even with a ton of injuries, a down year by Betts, they still win it all. Imagine what they'll do if they stay healthy. Jeter called them a juggernaut. Have won 3 out of 5 WS the past 9 years, and they're just getting started.

Watching Tigers Territory today. They said early Vegas pennant odds have Detroit 8th in the AL. Maybe they expect Skubal gone, or more likely, they see the holes on the team. Probably factoring in both. They stressed that it shows Det needs to take steps this off-season to improve. Also has me pondering throwing small wager on Detroit now.

The deals posted in media are ludicrous. Since Skubal is a rental, people think Detroit will trade him relatively cheap, which will never happen

I agree! Heyman is stirring up fodder for social media and it worked. My feeds are exploding with silly trade scenarios from other teams, and it has given me a headache.

I don't see Harris trading Skubal unless he is offered a crazy deal. If Detroit keeps him through 2026, I have a hunch he'll sit a while as a free agent, as it's likely there will be a work stoppage in 2027.
