  1. I agree! Heyman is stirring up fodder for social media and it worked. My feeds are exploding with silly trade scenarios from other teams, and it has given me a headache.
  2. Offer Sasaki plus another and Harris will listen
  3. I confess that I feel quite happy right now. One more and I might shart myself
  4. I hate the Dodgers, Yankees and Red Sox, with fervor. I will never root for any of them
  5. Baseball is mostly humbling, even for the superstars
  6. Earl Wilson hit 35 home runs in 740 career at-bats, including 7 hr in 88 ab's in 1968
  7. I don't see Harris trading Skubal unless he is offered a crazy deal. If Detroit keeps him through 2026, I have a hunch he'll sit a while as a free agent, as it's likely there will be a work stoppage in 2027.
  8. I'd prefer if the game goes past 12 innings, then you have a runner start at 2nd base starting inning 13, or something like that. I agree about potential injury. With the game today, that's basically 3 full games in 26-7 hours. Yamamoto was warming up and would have pitched had it gone to 19. And no need for scarlet A on your jersey. Consider an Earl Wilson patch instead. He doesn't get enough love
  9. I hate the Dodgers
  10. Ohtani has been on base 9 times. No player has ever reached base 10 times in a game.
  11. Fisk's plane just landed. The chopper will have him there by the 18th
  12. Carbo is pinch hitting
  13. With Vlad on deck that was a tough send. I hate the Dodgers
  14. On to extras!
  15. I predict you will be experiencing resentment toward Skubal in the near future. I hope I am wrong
  16. Back to back complete 1-run games. He's on a tier very close to Skenes and Skubal imho. With Snell, Yamamoto and Ohtani, arguably they have 3 of the top 10 starters in mlb
  17. Say the Dodgers lose. They want Skubal. They offer Sasaki and a top 100 prospect. Do you pull the trigger?
  18. From 1971 through 1973 Wilbur Wood's combined war was 30. Wilbur Wood Stats, Height, Weight, Position, Rookie Status & More | Baseball-Reference.com https://share.google/BdAOWNDwZlHgn47Il
  19. Makes me feel old. It's been a longer period of time from 1971 to today than it was from 1920 to 1971
  20. That came into my feed this week as well. Seems strange to not have those swings called strikes.
  21. Fairly ugly game. Rusty shooting, inc FT. Detroit's hustle and grit gave them a chance. The Bulls announcers raved about Holland
  22. I get the Flaherty comp, but Cease was CY runner-up in 2022 and was 4th in CY voting as recent as 2024. I see him landing a 2/60 type deal - similar, but slightly better than the 2/45 that Flaherty signed. He is inconsistent so I don't see any long term deals being offered. Maybe, as you say, 3/75
  23. He's probably more well known for his military actions than he was as a ball player.
