  1. Trout hit #399 today, tying mr Kaline
  2. Think I'll watch the football game
  3. Judge might get 5 dingers tonight
  4. Anthony Volpe's career ob% is .282 in 1800+ plate appearances. Ops .661. Ops+ 83. I've been checking out yankee forums during this series and the overwhelming sentiment is that he should be sent to the bench and next season get more time in aaa.
  5. I think he is likely in the rotation next year
  6. Flaherty always give a titillating interview. Does his motor ever go above 20%
  7. My favorite Tiger for a few years. I wrote him a letter when I was 9 in 1975
  8. My son is going to play the alphorn at my funeral, at the bottom of sleeping bear dunes.
  9. After Bellinger's dinger I had a sinking feeling. So good to see Parker contributing again.
  10. Lol my feed must be a tad slow. You posted that a minute before he hit that. I thought you were using positive thinking to manifest a homer.
  11. The Yankees OF trio has a combined WAR of 16 so far this year. As up and down as Bellinger has been in his career, his career WAR is 30 and he is still only 29
  12. Splitter on at the start
  13. Gotta bad feeling about NY bats vs Mize. Mize needs his A game
  14. Sounds wonderful, enjoy! Stay on the road, keep clear of the moors!
  15. I think most teams are in a similar place. Hard to believe, but home field is still there for the taking. Can you imagine how thin pitching staffs will be post expansion?
  16. The O line is my biggest concern. GB dominated both lines
  17. Really miss the anchor in Ragnow. O line got overrun. Total domination by the pack. Their road schedule is insane. 12-5 might be a reach. But it's week 1. Almost always sloppy in week 1.
  18. Well it's official. Cobb is opting for surgery on his hip. Time in Detroit is fin. Alex Cobb (right hip surgery) won't pitch for Detroit Tigers https://share.google/1m4te8hwwdtODXgTx
  19. One of my favorite parts of this season has been watching Jones. Every time the camera shows him, he is beaming with a smile. This season has obviously been a dream come true for him.
  20. Someone alert Passan that Flaherty isn't opting out
  21. Yep. I'm thinking first round bye.
  22. I said in my lifetime. I'm aging, but not quite old enough to have seen Old Hoss.
  23. Skenes pitched 6 shutout innings today va LAD. His yearly era dropped sub 2. In 53 career starts his career era is sub 2, and his whip is sub 1. I don't recall any pitcher in my lifetime coming out of the gate so strong. Maybe Gooden, who was a star at age 19. Seaver was excellent right away. Clemens by year 3. Vida Blue had that incredible first full season. But imho it's between Skenes and Doc Gooden. I enjoy watching Skenes' starts every time.
