  1. Nice article on Finnegan. I was not aware that he was born near Detroit, and his father was a pitcher who had a brief stint in Detroit's system Kyle Finnegan resumes Tigers career his dad almost started https://share.google/jn9B3etoWiJCB7xXa
  2. It's a risk for him to wait. There is still 1.25 seasons to go. He may start to show some drop-off next season. And there is the potential cba work stoppage. Kyle Tucker chose a similar path. And this year his stats are down. Reportedly he is playing hurt. But a low .800 ops and 139 ops+ isn't getting him 500 million, and that's what media was saying earlier this season. I'm not even confident he gets 400 million. He's had injuries, and his speed will be slowing.
  3. My calculations confirm via chisanbop mathematics
  4. Without knowing the metrics, and just by the eye test, I think Carp has made positive strides in the OF and is approaching average OF on D. I'm glad Det has team control for 3+ years. I'm much less confident on Meadows' longer-term.
  5. And the Tigers are now 4 back of Milwaukee
  6. Morton in his post game interview - he might be the most chill guy to don a Tigers uniform. Very grounded person. Glad Harris grabbed him in the final minutes of the deadline
  7. Tigers win and Petry sings!
  8. Gibson would have entered his dreams a la Freddie Krueger and tormented his soul
  9. He is only 28. I doubt it happens either, but I would love for Harris to sign him to something like 3/54.
  10. Or potential trade bait should Harris sign Torres again.
  11. Just when I start thinking Javy's magic run is ending, he produces.
  12. Dingler with a dbl and triple and a chance at a cycle
  13. The last time that happened in a Tigers game was in the 1940s. 0-0 game that ended with a bases loaded walk
  14. Carp has definitely improved his OF play.
  15. To me this is a great game. Obviously frustrating, but Hunter is also a stud.
  16. The Erie game is on mlbtv
  17. Cool table..........but what is this retirement thing, of which you write?
  18. I lived in Seattle from 1991-2000, and have been in Minneapolis the past 25 years. So my home stadiums were the Kingdome and then the Metrodome/Glad-bag-dome for many years, until Target Field was built. Horrible venues to watch a game (Target Field is excellent)! I'd never want that for Detroit either, but perhaps a retractable roof would have been useful for poor weather
  19. Detroit back on top in AL and second best in MLB. Very nice turnaround
  20. Houston with back to back double digit shutout losses. The horror........the horror.....
  21. That Melton slider is gonna be on pitching ninja
  22. He's pitched 4 games for Detroit. 2 positive starts, and 2 terrible starts. Both terrible starts were against the Twins. I think he'll be ok as a 5th starter/inning eater. He has the rest if this season to see how it goes. I haven't written him completely off. Not yet. He'll be a cheap one year guy. Harris loves those contracts.
